Best NRL Halves

Lolz! I'm surprised you even had to ask that question. Like, if that question were a trade, it'd be Mahe Fonua.

If be happy to trade Tomkins for Fonua, did beads say he wants to make a trade? I'll go pick him up

Ah, should've checked Beads SVRL team first... LOL

Anyone else realize Tomkins really doesn't like being tackled. Watch his reaction every single time.

Pearce and Baloney, by far the best halves pairing going around, I hope they both stay fit and gave great years especially Baloney who should kick heaps of goals.

Yep he really packs a sad. But then he gets worked over in the tackle ( Greg Bird even tried to give him a wedgie on the back of his neck off the ball in WC game one .
Pom fans (non Wigan ) hate Tomkins for his antics....he's got a bit of Slater attitude / a touch of grub.....he argues with Refs like Ennis ( that won' work in the new System  ) Tomkins also takes dives and appeals for penalties in a wide spread arms motion Footballers and Cricketers respectively would be proud of.
He's toned it down since joining the Pom media and working his brand. The two fingered salute to opposition fans is one of Tomkins most 'hit' google images.

He will be a love hate character in the NRL , all the traits are there.

The best and most consistent halves of last year were definitely DCE and Foran. They set up more themselves without their forward pack than Peace and Maloney did. They only looked good because their forward pack dominated. Also Pearce gets away with at least 5 high tackles every game.

Weren't Maloney and Pearce one of the worst halves pairings in the comp when it came to applying pressure?
