What are your favourite try celebrations. If the Broncos won the grand final which one would you most like to see. My favourites are Tinghas somersaults, Canberra ten-pin bowling and the ones Piggy Riddel did.

Piggy Riddell clapping his own try was my favourite.

Didn't really care for the team post-try celebrations. Way too rehearsed and disrespectful.

Totally agree. As far as celebrations go piggys was my favourite, but all in all I hate them. IMO you can't show your opposition any less disrespect and I would be so so disappointed if the broncos started doing this

Haha, that ten pin bowling one is class.

No-one here will like this but I really enjoy watching the hand grenade one and I still remember seeing it. State of Origin 2000 AHHHHHH Good times

I like the group ones and think they should bring it back. With how serious most coaches are, I doubt we will. My favourite of the old ones is the bowling one and most recently the Indigenous team's use of the corner post is also funny.

Solo ones, I always laughed and liked Owen Craigie's backflip as you always wondered if he might fail at it sooner or later due to his weight. Mark Riddell had a few funny ones.

It's a shame there hasn't been anymore in the All-Stars game. In that type of environment, they'd be perfect.

I know these are just kids playing around in the park but seriously how funny would it be to see an NRL team do it.

Utter garbage ......some of NSW biggest dickheads ever played in that series

No wonder they came up with that crap.

There's no place for it in the NRL. It should stay with the yanks and the kick and giggle boys.

You really hold a grudge against NSW my friend.

Pretty sure the NFL imposed tougher rules for excessive TD celebrations.

They kinda invented though didn't they .... yanks and the Euros, running round with their shirts over their heads.

The whole thing smacks of wankery IMO

Yeah that worked out great for them. I bet anytime mal feels like the qld team is losing motivation after 7 straight years, it just plays that video of your mob of idiots acting like disrespectful fools; and the motivation comes back pretty quick

Is there a YouTube video of the hand grenade celebration? Unlike Bman I don't have photographic memory :P

Yup. It's that kind of arrogance that makes me never get sick of winning Origin. Even this year when the feelings of pity for NSW came to me, right up until Hayne, Bird or Gallen did something typically NSWRL and then boom, back to hatred.

I was praying Lockyer would pull out his own hand-grenade celebration after the 2011 series. I would have exploded with happiness. lol

Scoring a try is exciting and having that excitement boil over and expressing your excitement with a bit of an athletic 'jump for joy' (Blacklock, etc.) is good for the sport. Piggy's celebration required no athleticism but it didn't bother me. The group ones, requiring pre-planning and practice, just reek of disrespect particularly in Origin. Celebrate your own try with a burst of energy and adrenaline = great. Gather everybody together for a pre-rehearsed attempt at comedy =- d!ckheads.
