BHQ Gambling Association

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Any thoughts on the Slipper today peoples? I'm going to have a dig on some value, all each way, as below.

The Galaxy:
Villa Verde
A time for Julia
Atmospherical

Slipper:
English
Headwater

George Ryder:
Sacred Falls
Royal Descent

Vancouver may do it but from 18 will be tough so again going for value will leave out of the tri.

Good luck!

I jumped on English E/W and Vancouver for a win as a saver so pretty happy. Criterion in the Ryder. Was happiest with the Galaxy though, I was on Sweet Idea. Sorry for not posting them up guys, been flat out all day.

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Keegan's got them right where he wants them.

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

More chance of Sharks winning the premiership than Keegan winning sadly.

Small hope for Paratore though.

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

I'm on Hansen and Whiteford in Madeira.

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Don't get me started on these Spinless, Gutless corporate bookmakers! Gone are the days when a bookie would take you on and try and beat the punter!

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

I know it's legal, but in this case I wasn't given a justification. But I got mine back. I signed up with sister-sites Tom Waterhouse and William Hill last night, which have a crappy sign up bonus where they match your first bet (not deposit). I was going to place a couple of mid size bets on Tolman and Graham with Centrebet, but in an effort to maximise my bonuses I ended up going with the maximum they'll match. Centrebet limited my bets for being about 750 dollars up over about half a year. I took their parent company for $391.50 tonight, and am owed $450 in bonus bets.

If you're limited on CentreBet, it won't take long to get limited on Waterhouse and WilliamHill too.

I'm restricted/banned on about 40 bookies these days. If the bookies see you as a risk, then they are quick to restrict. I've been restricted on some bookies where I've actually been down a few thousand dollars, but my betting patterns would indicate that over the long term that is most likely going to turn around.

If you read the t&c's of all the bookies, they can pretty much do what they want.

Are you counter betting those bonues bets, or just punting them? You can easily get a guarenteed return of about 65% on those bonus bets.

You're right, Waterhouse and WilliamHill have already moved against me. I'm counter betting the bonus bets - the restrictions apply to bonus bets as well and the only markets I would consider betting unhedged on are stats markets where my limit is $2.87. As soon as I've cleared the withdrawal conditions I'll be back to sportsbet only (though I'd still give consideration to signing up to new sites just to clear deposit bonuses).

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Do you only bet on player stats? That won't last long because everyone will limit eventually. It's a shame there isn't a law about minimum risk for sports betting like NSW racing have for their races.

Onto tonight's game, going to have a stab on Jennings first try scorer. Tupou has been the roosters first scorer the last two games, but I like the fact he's up against his old club.

Pretty much. It's the only market where I have an edge. That and US Presidential elections (individual state outcomes). I used to put smaller bets on other markets when I was younger but there was very little method to it and I generally just managed to break even. I'm not really a gambler by nature.

Tom Waterhouse was one of the first bookies I got restricted on. Then I signed up to CentreBet and SportingBet (now WH), and I was restricted within a few days on both. They are all owned by William Hill, so would be easy to work out when the same user signs up to multiple sites. I was lucky I used my bonuses on each site before I got restricted though. Having to bet with bonuses while restricted is terrible. Even know I sometimes get deposit bonus offers from 1 of the 3 of them and I just don't bother anymore. Having to counter/hedge bet so many small bets ends up not being profitable time wise, and even just punting the bonuses without countering I couldn't be bothered with at such low limits (some of my bet limits are as low as 6c haha).

So after Waterhouse gave me the shits, I decided I'd go on a vendetta against bookies. Signed up to as many as I could to get deposit bonuses. Ended up with about $6K out of that in 3 months with very little effort. Then I started arbitrage betting, which has slowly got me restricted on just about every bookie that I can find that I can bet on in aud, but it's been a profitable experience. Up to around $30K profit from arbing over the past 6 months too.

So it's definitely possible to make some quick easy cash out of them if you can be bothered.

Please tell me how to do this!

BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

You need a Betfair account to lay the bets you make with other firms.

For arbs you need to back at higher price than you can lay so need to find mis priced selections with bookies. Be aware of commission on betfair when calculating arbs.

The bonuses are easy. One Bookie, BookieA offers you a bonus equivalent to your first deposit/bet up to $100. Sign up and deposit $100 and put a bet on a 2 sided bet. Eg, something like a h2h bet or line bet. Not on something like first try scorer.

Go to another bookie, BookieB (Pinnacle is the best for this as they have great prices) and bet on the other side of that bet with an amount that means you will win the same regardless of the outcome. Well when I say win, you're actually going to lose a little bit due to the odds offered by bookies and their overround. Eg, think of a coin toss in the cricket which you can bet on. Most bookies offer $1.95 for this, so if you put $100 on, you will get $195 back. There is a 50/50 chance either team will win the toss, but the bookies aren't giving a 50% return. If 2 people bet on that coin toss, one on TeamA and one on TeamB, then the bookie has taken $200 in and will only be paying out $195. That's how they make their profit.

So you could bet $100 on that coin toss at Bookie A and bet on the other side of that coin toss on BookieB. You are going to lose $5, but in the process you get a $100 free bet. Then you do a a smilar thing with the free bet, but with the free bet, most places won't give you the stake back in the winnings, so if you bet on a coin toss and won with the free bet, you won't get $195 returned, you will only get $95 returned. So to minimise the effect of not getting the stake returned and to maximise profit, you are better off betting the free bet on a high odds bet (something around the 5-1 or 6-1 mark is good) and then counterbet on the other side. You should be able to get an easy 65% of the free bet amount by betting on something high odds.

So for your initial $5 loss you can get a return of $65. Can make some good profits when some bookies offer up to $500-1000 for sign up bonuses.

Arbing is a bit more complex and time consuming though.

Not if they are h2h. You only really need bet fair if betting on things that can have more than 2 outcomes. Eg, bet fair is good to lay any horse racing promos where you can bet on the horse to lose on bet fair. If it's h2h bets, you can just use another bookie to back without the need to lay on betfair.

It's extremely concerning that the two golfers I fancy most this week are 110 and 500!
