Sorry dude but thats hardly criticising your post. not something to get offended over.

its criticizing my opinion. when i do that, i get banned. when jeb does it its fine apparently.

You're taking it too personally. It could've been anyone pointing out that you bagging people for not picking a player you rate is no different to you leaving out a player others rate highly.

That's the whole thing about "best ever" team selections. It's personal opinion and there's no right or wrong answer.

i saw it as coxy just said, its like if i told Coxy i think his avatar is kinda gay. Its an opinion and he could say "says the guy with Yoda"

Opinion...

But no Darth Vader is awesome its just the glowing red kinda looks weird

Sorry if I offended you Stu, just found it weird that you happily criticise nobody picking Willie Carne in their best ever Broncos teams, yet you get all defensive and emotional when someone criticises your ommission of Bob Lindner from the best ever Queensland team (despite all the experts and the public voting him into Queensland Rugby League's team of the century as well).

I will leave it at that, because this thread has gone way off topic (admittedly that is my fault).

Settle boys - we can see both points of view.

The fact is, Queenslander, that no one is right or wrong with these choices. Hell, I was one of four or five people only who included Chris Johns as one of my best centres. Should I stamp my feet and say I can't believe it? Of course not! The fact is, I'd also have none of the Broncos centres in the top two that I've ever seen play the game, which could offend or bewilder some. That's the beauty of opinions!

Now, let's calm it down because I'm positive things are going to get rowdy in here as people debate over the starting forward pack. One prop spot and lock in particular, IMO, will be fiercely contested...

Alfie rightly cruises into the #7 jersey, and that is a farking stellar backline we've got there. Onto the engine room, with props this week, to be followed by hooker, second row and lock, before we move onto the bench.

The front row is done and dusted. Webcke easily slots into his famed #8 jersey, while Petero Civoniceva edged out Glenn Lazarus, who surely is now a shoe-in for a bench spot.

Hooker spot up for grabs in the voting this week, so click away. Here's the team as it stands with the backline, halves and front row decided:

BHQ's best Broncos team of all time

1. Darren Lockyer
2. Mick Hancock
3. Steve Renouf
4. Justin Hodges
5. Wendell Sailor
6. Kevin Walters
7. Allan Langer
8. Shane Webcke
9.
10. Petero Civoniceva
11.
12.
13.

14.
15.
16.
17.

Kerrod Walters gets the hooking gig with an impressive 58% of votes.

Onto the vital second rowers one now. Should be interesting!

Few days still to run for the second rowers, but the lock forward poll is now up too as I'll be off this weekend.

In the new year then, we'll have the 1-13 all sorted, so it'll be all about picking a bench (three forwards and one back/utility) and finally the captain. Should wrap up just in time for the start of the trials!

As we all know by now the starting line-up is done and dusted:

BHQ's best Broncos team of all time

1. Darren Lockyer
2. Mick Hancock
3. Steve Renouf
4. Justin Hodges
5. Wendell Sailor
6. Kevin Walters
7. Allan Langer
8. Shane Webcke
9. Kerrod Walters
10. Petero Civoniceva
11. Gorden Tallis
12. Brad Thorn
13. Tonie Carroll

14.
15.
16.
17.

The voting for the bench spots is underway now and should be massive. From then comes something just as tough - picking a captain between Locky, Alf & Tallis (and the rest of them!). That should be the most interesting poll of all IMO.

Unless something crazy happens over the next few hours, our #17 is all sorted. Thanks to all who got involved.

Our best ever team looks something like...

BHQ's best Broncos team of all time

1. Darren Lockyer
2. Mick Hancock
3. Steve Renouf
4. Justin Hodges
5. Wendell Sailor
6. Kevin Walters
7. Allan Langer
8. Shane Webcke
9. Kerrod Walters
10. Petero Civoniceva
11. Gorden Tallis
12. Brad Thorn
13. Tonie Carroll

14. Shaun Berrigan
15. Glenn Lazarus
16. Darren Smith
17. Andrew Gee

Now we just need to decide who wears the (c) next to his name! That poll will be up from tomorrow.

Raiders of '94 almost their equals IMO Rocky. Those two along with the Storm of 2007 are clearly the three best club RL teams since 1990 IMO.

on a serious note thou the Eels of 2009 could go along way to being an all time great as well, Ok so they missed the GF but no other team can finish the year like they did. And Hayne imo will be on most peoples Team of the decade.

Can't tell if you're taking the piss or not! LOL

Way premature to suggest Hayne would be in people's team of the decade. He hasn't played in the 2010-2019 decade yet ;-)

If he can maintain say 75% of the form he showed at the end of 2009 over the course of several seasons, then maybe. But let's not forget he was beyond woeful at the start of 2009, especially when playing five-eighth and centre.
