Did he have a good season? It was ok, not sure about good. He missed the most tackles in the team
Which of our other hooking alternatives had a better season?

Why is it relative to our own team and not the rest of the comp? Are players only measured on their ability within their own team?Which of our other hooking alternatives had a better season?
As in which turd sandwich did you like the best, and how about another bite?Which of our other hooking alternatives had a better season?
He wasn't better than Danny Levi - who wasn't that great - but Kevvie let him go, knowing he didn't have a similar specialist hooker on the roster. Billy had his eye on Croft/Milford's spot as did Gamble, Kelly, Roberts and Mam. We only had Paix and Turpin to fill 9 and 14. So Billy was only competing with two other players - one roundly maligned, the other fringe - for three starting spots. Why is it relative to our own team and not the rest of the comp? Did Turpin / Paix pair up against the eels?He wasn't better than Danny Levi - who wasn't that great - but Kevvie let him go, knowing he didn't have a similar specialist hooker on the roster. What ensued was a rerun of the Croft/Milford/Dearden/Gamble/Kelly/Hunt debacle but at dummy half with only three contenders. But this time the coach relied on injuries to select Billy's partner, and never once paired the other two. Ultimately the universally maligned Turpin won out, and was booted from the club as a reward establishing Paix as lowest in the pecking order.
So while Billy was hired as a potential half cover, he ended the season as the club's top hooker and the club has, as yet, not hired anyone to threaten his status. Meanwhile even his most loyal apologist @Big Pete ranks him as the 11th best hooker in the competition, which is more generous than most of us.
No-one.....is the answer they're struggling to admit.Which of our other hooking alternatives had a better season?
Ah yes, you're right. The highlight of our season. Both played 40 minutes. We won 36:14 against the Grand Finalists. Billy was restored the following week against the wooden spooner Tigers, which we lost 32:18. That's when the rot started.Did Turpin / Paix pair up against the eels?
I can’t remember why Billy was out. I think he was suspended for 1 match ?
Banging my head against a brick wall.He wasn't better than Danny Levi - who wasn't that great - but Kevvie let him go, knowing he didn't have a similar specialist hooker on the roster. Wow.. Really embarrassing argument here with no context. We won despite them, not because of them.Ah yes, you're right. The highlight of our season. Both played 40 minutes. Hope Walters is given a 2 year extension personally. He's a solid player who always gives his all and he'd be our best 14 for at least the next 12 months.
I’m not struggling, I just don’t know how many times I need to say Paix is better than Walters. Did he have a better season? Well that’s hard to say because he wasn’t offered the same opportunities as Billy but if you averaged their input over the same amount of minutes than Paix had a better season. I also don’t think Turpin is necessarily worse than Walters either. Not that I’m sad to see him gone.No-one.....is the answer they're struggling to admit.

We won convincingly with Turpin and Paix.Wow.. Really embarrassing argument here with no context. We won despite them, not because of them.
We also won some games with Steve Michaels, Nick Parfitt, Stu Kelly, Aaron Gorrell, Ben Czislowski, Darren Burns, Palmer Wapau, Joel Clinton, Darren Mapp, Craig Frawley, Steve Irwin, Reece Robinson and with the entire 2020 team.We won convincingly with Turpin and Paix.
Not only did we lose when Walters replaced Paix, we lost the next 5 out of 6 games.
That's pretty lame spin even by your standards.Meanwhile even his most loyal apologist @Big Pete ranks him as the 11th best hooker in the competition, which is more generous than most of us.
