Bon Jovi's 'Our House' to be new anthem for the NRL

It's total crap.

We will be the laughing stock of sport.

I'd say we already are with this pathetic CEO.

Giving a good young up and coming Aussie band the gig last time was fantastic, Children Collide kick 9 colours of sh1t out of Bon Jovi.

Were they the ones that did the intro to 9 telecasts? They suck. Couldn't sing to save themselves.

I saw them over in WA in January. They are awesome live.

I'd get Tina Turner back that was just brilliant.. It needs to be a song that gets the blood pumping and the passion building inside.

I don't mind Children Collide but hearing them do the pre Sunday telecast and Origin 3 2009...it just didn't work.

I remember Origin 3 09 actually and the general concensus was ' [icon_lol1. couldn't they get a better band? That was s**t'.

Alright. Finally listened to it.

Yep, it sucks more than his Brisbane concert. Retire you old useless gits.

For folks to come on here and bag out Bon Jovi and say how much they suck is pretty stupid really - they haven't been around for nearly 30 years and sold 130 million records coz nobody likes them.

You might not, but obviously other people do.

Now, that said, what's even more stupid (IMO) is thinking that choosing the right theme song will significantly impact how many people become league fans - but maybe I'm the stupid one eusa_think

Or they might think.

"Oh. The league's on, I'll give this game a go." "Oh is that Bon Jovi.... oh this is death to my ears... oh god... OMG! AHHH! MAKE IT STOP. OH THE HUMANITY" *Switch to Better Homes and Gardens*

Do we really want anyone that watches Better Homes and Gardens to support League anyway? [icon_shru [icon_razz1

I'd rather watch Better Homes and Gardens than watch the NRL spectacular Bon Jovi fail. And it's for the next 3 years or something isn't it?

I rest my case... [icon_evillaugh

Highly unlikely your opinion is going to be shared by everybody.

It's a song people. Some will love it and some will hate it. Get over it.

And in case it informs my post, I haven't heard it yet so I don't know whether I like it or not

Seriously, does anybody TRULY think any song song by anybody will make a crap load of difference to the supporter base?

I mean was anybody here introduced to the league, or came to love the league, because of a friggen song?

Tina turner's campaign did bring in new fans, yes. The game itself kept them.

the combination of a good song and good footage to back it up on an ad for the NRL would bring in new fans, no doubt about it.

this, however, is not a good song. it doesnt even suit rugby league, its too slow and plodding - like the sport it was written for, American Football.
