There is always the question mark over a player's ability to carry those performances over into first grade. Hopefully we haven't bought another Kennedy!

Garbutt will do well next year, I have no doubt. I watched him running around for Easts on the replay and he has a decent step, great off load and looks to have a good onfield ethic, meaning he works while he's on. If he picks up his fitness by a few percent he should be a great buy. Good to see the Broncos picking up players who have some age rather than 18/20 year old forwards. It is one position on the field where a bit of age is an advantage.

Mitch Garbutt looks like exactly the type of player we need big and strong with a nice steep and a great offload.

Have you seen some recent gametime of his have you ?
I haven't seen any recent footage so can't comment.

I watched the game today on tv. Wynnym scored to win in the last 2min. :)
Garbutt looked twice the size of most of the Wynnym side but they had him wrapped up pretty well barring one or two runs. However, he pretty much required 4 tacklers every time.

Yeah I saw him today and he was always really tough to put down and gave an offload that caused a line break. I think he will be a great asset to the team next year.
