We look pretty flat as expected after a few big weeks and a long journey to Perth. Need to jag the win somehow.

It's a good sign when you can be flat and the opposition are up for the match but you can still find that extra gear to win it.

This is one area of sport I am not doom and gloom. I know what this team can do and last night was always going to be a challenge. WC is well on the up, we had the longest trip in the AFL off a 6 day turn around, this was always going to be close.

But on West Coast, man I love how that side is tracking. Very much pointing in the right direction. They are going to shoot up the ladder pretty quickly I think.

But as for us, we did what we always do, just enough to win when playing a team we are expected to beat. We are elite at managing effort to make sure we peak at the right time.

Interestingly, second is very much within our grasp if we want it. Sydney's wheels have fallen off as generally happens at this time of year after a fast start. I think Sydney lose to GWS next week but the game that looms very large is our game against Hawthorn in a couple of weeks - that will decide whether we finish second, third or in a fight for 4th-6th.
