I've been watching last weeks episode of the footy show and something was said by Bird that interested me.

He mentioned that he hoped NSW could go down to Sydney and tie the series up.

Interesting. It's like he has conceded the fact that QLD win will Game 1...

It goes without saying that both sides dread the away game, it's how close Origin has become that makes it so exciting to watch.

I predict that we'll win up here in a close one, and get rolled down there, bringing the decider back to Suncorp (which we'd all like to see i'm sure)

I don't. I've had enough of going to close games this year. All of the games I've been to at Suncorp, minus the Titans game, have been close. My heart can't take much more..

I will be attending. However, I don't think the curse is going to continue with this game..

Does anyone still watch Origin games for the fights? That's one thing that's always pissed me of a little. Everyone saying "that game sucked, there weren't any fights." If I wanted to see fights I'd watch MMA.

I don't mind if a fight breaks out, but I don't watch the game for the fights and I don't call for one. I just want to see the best of the best play their hearts out for 80 minutes.

Sure, it's entertainment... I certainly don't watch because of it, but I don't mind. And I hate MMA, UFC, Boxing, etc.

I like a 3-0 whitewash as much as the next QLD'r, but seeing that glimmer of NSW hope extinguished when QLD win the 3rd and deciding match of a series is gold.

2011 for example. NSW came up to Brizzy all full of piss and bravdo and then went out and got ruthlessly smashed. Game was over after 30 mins.

Loved it.

Gallen's performance in Game 2 2011 was quite possibly the greatest individual performance at Origin level I have ever seen
