After a few days reflection, I tend to agree now Je$ter. I don't think NSW were better, I think QLD are getting older and slower, even if it is just a fraction of a second it is noticeable.

LOL at Greg Dowling's comments what a massive crybaby and sore loser. Did somebody from NSW sleep with his wife or something, I'm just confused to why he feels the need to publically attack the Blues and the state of NSW non-stop.
Love how he goes on about his beloved team not getting shown respect by their rivals yet he goes on with brainless rants and attacks NSW. It's just sour grapes from a bitter old man who's just upset at losing. Instead of embarrassing your own team talk about how proud you are of the great dynasty they created that will go down in the game's history instead of inciting baseless unneeded hatred towards the other team.

I don't know what's so confusing. Everything GD said, has a fair degree of truth to it.
He hates NSW and for that, I say good on him.

Former Maroons prop Greg Dowling took a swipe at Blues supporters for jeering Tate as he was carried off with a knee injury that could end his career.
Dowling also scoffed at The Daily Telegraph publishing a death notice on the back page for Queensland, accompanied by a picture of a tombstone.
“They have got nothing to be cocky about. Good on them for winning one series, but I can assure you they will never win eight straight,” Dowling said.
“It’s typical NSW. They win one series and they think they’ve created the biggest dynasty of all.
“That’s what they are like, they have no class.
“They are arrogant. They win one series and suddenly they are predicting the death of Queensland.
“It’s a joke. This will just fire up the Queensland boys a bit more.”
Brent Tate has to be helped off the field with his career-threatening injury.
Of the Tate incident, Dowling said: “It’s a low act, Brent Tate is one of the greats of the game and deserves better than that.
“That’s what Sydney are like, they even booed the captain of Australia, Wally Lewis, when I was playing.
“That’s why I hate them ... That’s why every other state in Australia hates NSW.”

Pretty sure a NSW player comes out every year and says they hate QLD. He's exactly right with everything he said. The players, the fans and the media have shown absolutely no respect for the QLD team at all.

Well I never feel good when NSW win, of course :)
The issue here is the ending of the streak - so much riding on it
The coach that ends the streak will always be remembered
When Stuart won it in 05 it was the 3rd win straight for NSW so it's not the same thing
Also, I didn't hate Stuart in 05 the way I do now
I didn't particularly like him, but my opinion of him has gone down and down over the last few years

There is nothing wrong with banter but saying what Dowling said is just crossing the line and it just makes him sound silly. I'm sure glad he isn't from NSW the arrogant and ignorant are the worst kind of people in any community and he isn't any better of considering where he comes from.
