Did anyone see this? Apparently this year's Indigenous jersey. Makes sense as we seem to alternate WIL and this (at least we have since 2012). Although I figured we'd hit our 5 jersey limit (home, away, Nines, heritage, member's). On the topic of the jersey, front on, it's hella boring. Maybe it has a nice design on the back, but I will be passing.

Yeah don't think I'll be getting one of those. If nothing else the arrows direct attention towards the subcutaneous winter blanket I use to keep the abs warm.

They look like dicks. Simple falic interpretation. . Similar to the Suncorp logo

They kinda look like what JWH tries to do to opposition players when the Roosters aren't doing well.

It's Thaiday's jersey. Part of his new contract will be to wear it to remind him of where the, um, watermelon goes. Easy on the watermelon Sammy.

Last year sometime I said that I don't care at all if we lost Josh McGuire. I'm here today to say that I was wrong and I misjudged him and that he's likely going to be massive for us for as long as he's wearing maroon and gold.

I see WB said the back line against Penrith was the first time we have put our best back line on the field this year

R.I.P Copley then I guess, he's off contract as well, if WB doesn't like him he's probably goneskies.

I need to man up as well. He was one player I was really wrong about. I thought he was lazy, undisciplined, inconsistent and a penalty magnet for opposition teams. He was absolutely outstanding last year and was often our best forward apart from Parker. He's really kicked on and hasn't looked back. Outstanding player and I hope he gets a well deserved Maroon jersey.

I actually remember the maguire bashing and it baffled me... The same thing when i heard the Wallace bashing last year. I always saw his potential and figured he'd be an up and coming

I doubt it, honestly. That would stagger me if Copley goes and we keep Reed and Maranta

Interesting comment from Bennett. On the surface most of us would prefer Copley in the side somewhere ahead of Reed and Maranta etc. I don't know what to make of that statement, tbh. I'm pleased for Maranta if Bennett is telling the truth. His positioning and defense on the wing are better than the other candidates. I've always believed that a try saved is as good as a try scored so maybe he gets a spot based on that as opposed to other more talented but inconsistent players.

Copley has had opportunities though. Fans can whine all they want about how he's best at left centre or right centre or wherever but if you're only good in one position you better be damned good at it. Maranta, Kahu and even Reed have proven they're adept at covering multiple positions adequately.

At least with some of our squad returning from injury it's bolstering our depth as we move in to the second phase of the season. So far, so good for mine.

Someone please explain to me how Jack Reed is in our best backline that we can put out on the field... Because i don't understand that.

Just reporting. He says more progress can now be made with them playing together

I haven't seen the quote but I don't think it should be read into and the story of Copley's demise has been grossly over-exaggerated.

Or however it goes.

I have no reason to believe Splinter has made it up. That isn't his go but since I haven't seen it for myself the most I can take out of it is that when Wayne views our best backline, he sees Boyd, Hodges and Kahu.

The rest he can give or take.

However, fans need to remember that Bennett was very quick to praise Copley against the Titans and the Roosters. I doubt he has it in for him despite the peculiar selection decision.

Reed played very good the other night, if he keeps playing like that, I'd like to see him in the side, but preferably attacking on the wing and defending at centre. He's a play-killer.

I honestly believe it was a strategic call. Bennett saw the danger that Penriths backs posed and judged that the better defence of Reed be a better option. I don't think any of the players should take Bennett dropping them ass necessarily a bad thing, unless he openly criticizes you in press conferences like he did to Thaiday and Vidot, then you know he's pissed at you.

JORDAN Kahu is viewed as Justin Hodges’ replacement at the Broncos, with the club fighting hard to re-sign the in-form utility back.

The Courier-Mail can reveal the Broncos are set to re-sign several off-contract players within the next month, with negotiations with Kahu, Alex Glenn and Sam Thaiday advanced.

Brisbane will also fend off poaching raids on young half Ash Taylor from Manly and the Gold Coast, with Wayne Bennett rating the 20-year-old highly and considering him a first grade option if injury strikes.

With Hodges to consider retiring at year’s end, a year earlier than his current contract, Kahu is viewed as the perfect man to replace him at right centre if required.

Even if Hodges plays on in 2016, the Broncos are willing to pay a centre’s wage for a winger
