A 1 year deal with Green would make a lot of sense. Would give a good veteran presence in the halves for Milford, Dearden & Paix to learn from, would give us arguably the best short kicking game in the comp with Green & Milford.. Would give us the flexibility to decide next off-season whether we want to go to market for someone like Croft (who will be off-contract) or just stick with Milford, Dearden & Paix, all of which we should have a better idea about in 12 months time.
 
Almost makes too much sense for this club, but anything longer than a 1-2 year deal on a moderate sized contract and I'd starting to be looking at it like "ehhhhh"
 
On a one or two year deal at the right price worth considering anything more then that no.

Although you don't know Bullemor or Timm they are pretty good trust me.... Bullemor is a good prop naturally but believe it or not he is a speed demon and Lachlan Timm is a metre eater..... they are probs both better than kennedy..... Also tpj and carrigan can play at prop

I am. Our spine remains just as shambolic as it was last year, perhaps even worse with SoS being out for so long and zero replacements brought in...

Our backline is nothing special with one single current Origin rep in Oates and if he had been playing as he was at the end of the season before origin, we’d have had zero...

We have a talented ‘potentially great’ forward pack. We have great metre eaters but what about their defence? It was atrocious last year and the year before that and the year before that and so on. Can they turn it around? Sure. But there has been zero sign of it actually happening to date.

Overall we are a LONG way from being a top 4 roster as our results reflected and we aren’t moving forward.

We are so far away from being a ‘power house’ club on the field it’s disgusting.
 
I really, really like the idea of Green coming here on a one year deal. It would give more time to Dearden and by then Croft is off contract and if Milford isn't showing any real improvement (or worse, regresses) then we can move him along too and start 2021 with a Croft, Dearden combo and go to market for a top tier fullback.

If Dearden isn't showing signs he can be a long term halfback, then potentially we could re-sign Green for 1 more year too if he's up to it. He'd be 35 and for a 5/8 that is manageable if he's in good shape physically given he's never relied on speed.

Either way, a lot of our useless overpaid hacks will be off our books.

We would benefit immensely from a spine player with a brain that can manage games.

I've been told that Jonathan Reuben is at Broncos on a train and trial deal. He's really good. I like him.
