OPINION Broncos are winning the 2023 NRL Premiership

Regardless of this result, next week has always been the challenge looming large.

1. We belt Melbourne in Melbourne - premiership favourites
2. We beat Melbourne in a tight one - definitely top 3 contenders
3. We lose to Melbourne in a tight one - finalists and maybe contenders
4. We get belted by Melbourne in Melbourne - season over and we all cry
After watching Souths the past 5 games they appear to be a class above the rest in structured defence and right side attack..The Broncs not quite there yet ..still a little too much individualism in their attack ..so maybe not quite this year but watch out in 2024. However this is one opinion I will gladly be proved wrong

If we lose to Melbourne and Souths beat Parramatta, we slip to second place (on diff). We are currently 2 differential points ahead of Souths.

Any info on fitness of big Nelson from Storm ..he came off late in second half with what appeared a minor leg injury following a awkward tackle.

I read somewhere that is was his ribs, but they are thinking he will still play. Guess we'll find out this arvo.

His ribs? Look for the Storm to use a HIA if he gets another nudge in-game.

Going by the last 10 years or so, 34 points is the magic number to make sure you make the Top 4, as of current including future byes we are only 5 wins away from that.

But there is an extra bye this year so that would probably mean 36 points, however given how close the comp looks this year it's probably more like 32 points.

The Warriors are about to start their miraculous and suspiciously well-timed run to a Grand Final, so we should probably start to worry about them.

Is that because the coach just fired a salvo at the NRL for bias against the Warriors ?

Was it the coach or the CEO of their major sponsor that called the refs cheats?

You`re right it wasn`t the coach whining .
Still got the headlines though . I remember the Cowboys used to reckon they were hard done by too .

I haven't watched the presser, but Webster apparently suggested that if the journos were willing to put money in for his fine then he would let them know what he really feels

Smart move. If you want to get favours in this comp, all you need to do is complain.

the way the field is bunching , four and against could play a major roll on where you end up..and at this stage the Broncs are a bit skinny in that area..the buys are good for 2 points and body refresh but we need to put on some big scores when up against the bottom teams.
Backup this year also seems thin , we look vulnerable when we loose a few key players..so the big test almost with us now..if we can roll Penrith it will be huge in the broader scheme of things.

Our F/A currently is really strong.
