BRISBANE'S late-season surge for a top-four spot could prove pointless, with a scheduling clash with a rugby union Test potentially robbing Brisbane of hard-earned home-ground advantage in the opening week of the finals.
If the Broncos finish third they would be scheduled to play their sixth-placed opponent on Saturday, September 13.
But Suncorp Stadium would not be available for the match, with Australia already booked to meet New Zealand in the third game of the Bledisloe series that night.
If the Broncos finish fourth, they would be scheduled to play on the night before against the fifth-placed side.
It is understood the Australian Rugby Union would be within its rights to block access to another hirer for a Friday night match, but it is unlikely that would happen, given that minimal changes to the ground's configuration would be required.

I know that its looking more and more unlikely, by the week that we will get a home final, but if it happens the NRL "MUST" work smoething out so that game can be played at Lang Park. it would just be wrong if weare robbed a very hard earned home final
