Have not seen the younger Nikorima play yet

2013 Highlights

Broncos NYC Light It Up With Super Tries - Brisbane Broncos

I'll break the clip down...

1. Paul Byrnes makes a break, finds Soape Palau on his left who does well to score in the corner

2. #5 (Opacic?) takes an intercept

3. Alick kicks and regathers a loose Parramatta pass.

4. Ash Taylor throws a forward pass to Timu who slices through a yawning gap. Caleb sums the situation up beautifully by kicking towards the corner and finds Byrnes.

5. Ash Taylor grubbers for himself and scores.

6. Taylor puts forward a pin-point kick to the corner which finds Byrnes on the full.

7. Alick makes a break down the sideline and finds Oates backing up on the inside.

8. Brandon Lee slices the Cowboys up the middle, then fools the fullback with a clever dummy to his support (Nikorima?)

9. Jordan Drew cuts back on the inside of the Storm defence and makes a big break before finding fullback Paul Byrnes in support for a good try.

10 Corey Oates breaks through some very ordinary Warriors ruck defence before turning it back inside to Paia'Aua who grubbers for Oates who backs up and scores a good try. Any surprise that he'd find himself in the top grade after that performance?

I am excited by this squad. They had a pretty good year and put up a tremendous effort in the semi final given that the Tigers were strong favorites .
obvious shortcomings in defense but they are a young team.
two unheralded players I enjoyed watching were Arjuma Adams and Brandon Lee

Can someone please tell me about how the players when and the ones to look out for in the future?

Most obvious are Taylor, Oates, Drew and Cullen

Couple of others worth watching are Paul Byrnes, Elijah Alick, Duncan Paia'aua, Francis Molo, Jo Ofahengaue, Kodi Nikorima, Jai Arrow, Ajuma Adams. You can see their bios at the Broncos website.

A personal favourite is Brandon Lee who is unfashionable but gives 120% whichever position he is thrown into in the forwards

What is your opinion of Taylor, Cullen, Paia'Aua and Nikorima?

Molo, Ofahengaue, Paia'aua, Adams are in the NRL squad for 2014. Agreed about Brandon Lee great player kind of like Dean young but stronger

Yeah and so are Taylor and Nikorima.

Will any of them have a chance of playing first grade next year?

Probably just Oates but with injuries Adams might sneak a run. I think he is a little older than the other guys and is a heavy hitter in defence

Taylor is only 18 but definetely promising, unforetunetly we didn't get to see enough of him this year.

Cullen is very solid not flashy but he can read the game very well like old fashioned halfback's can with great versitility.

Paia'Aua solid, nothing spectaular yet

Nikorima is kind of a shaun johnson kind of halfback without been as flashy. pushes the play a bit but someone handy to pull something off. has potential

Taylor looked to play what is front of him.
Cullen has a sleight of hand and manages to break the line as soon as the forwards get tired. Will be a little harder in the NRL
Paia'aua has a fantastic long passing game. Give him time
Nikorima leaves nothing in the tank. Makes breaks but is more a running half

How is Paia'aua pronounced?

Which has the most potential for the future?

Hard to compare Paia'Aua and Taylor are only in their first year, the other two with right potential can be NRL player, Cullen is already playing qld cup

I hope Cullen is not chosen at five-eight he is to small and weak in defence.
