Age isn't much of a factor for Bennett.
If anything, he likes recruiting a couple of players at the back end of their careers, partly for the experience they can bring.
I don't think he would care much about what age Carney is. Just whether he can turn him around or not.

He'd be worth it at the right price. The bloke was the best half in the game before he went off the rails, and still seems to be playing pretty well. Not long term though, unless two years counts as long term in fake news language.
