I am sick of this shit. If Wayne want to do this type of charity he should go to other club do this type of things. Next year Matthew Lodge and Todd carney.

I don't see the harm in signing blokes like Carney, Lodge, etc for basically minimum wage. Footy wise they are quality, and have the ability to win us a comp. The Roosters do it all the time and reap the rewards. Hell, I'd even be for signing Greg Bird on under 300k if he wants to come back to Aus and play him off the bench like the Roosters did for O'Donnel when they won the comp.

I would rather see some bigger bodies on the edges and believe oates can be awesome there. Put gillo at lock , all he does is tackle anyways. We need some speed and size on our edges.

moving Oates also means we could do all that work to get us into position only to have some numpty bomb a try.

Obviously we don't replace him with a numpty ! I honestly don't see these strengths, i really don't see them worring to many defences. Defensively that are solid but apart from a couple of good attacking games , they just don't ask enough questions. We need a frizzel , cordner or harris in our arsenal aswell.

I think oates needs to move into the backrow. We need a damaging line runner. Oates scores alot of tries off backline play's, if we can get a winger that is a good finisher and makes good meters! We don't loose much but gain a better threat on the edge.

That's the problem, there isn't a winger available who can finish or return kicks the way Oates does. Yeah he could be the most damaging edge runner in history but until the halves can ball play consistently to utilise him properly he'll just be used as hack work and tackling a la Matt gillet. So until a lot of boxes are ticked Oates stays on the wing. Plus I think sua can be a very damaging edge runner like ben teo

Once he gets a centre that can pass the ball to him he'll be a weapon again.

Fifita is easy a few years off , sua is a ? And thaiday is not even close to where he use to be . That leaves gillo and glenn , Gillett has got one side nailed . Glenn is a solid player but hasn't the size or the pace to be a real threat on the edge. You put someone like oates next to milf and you could have an awesome combo.

Su'a played at 18, didn't he?
KHunt was 17 and became a fulltime NRL player straight away. Can't believe he was only 22 when he quit. These days 22 is still considered a toddler in the NRL.
