Fox sports transfer centre says we have picked up Jake Turpin from Melbourne
 
Half back from Redland Bay/Ipswich and apparently owns a race horse. Pretty sure he was one of the Storm players who were released from their contracts a few months ago
 
Doubt it's Mead. White mad a big deal of him being the PNG captain and a Broncos player as why the Broncos are playing a trial there.

Yep Ipswich Brothers junior, went down there to play 20's in 2014-2016. 43 games in total and then Falcons. He was pretty versatile played hooker at the Storm but half in Ipswich.

He had a bad ankle injury this year playing for the Falcons and then the emergence of Smith probably left him a bit short of a spot as the back up hooker.

Can’t go wrong with a halfback/hooker from Ipswich
 
Looked him up in Google, seems like another kid who was compared to Cronk at a young age. Guess Melbourne got the superior Cronk clone and are happy now. I'm just hoping the rookies we have now end up being the goods in a couple of years.
