It's like the titans are slowly taking our post '08 generation.
If the post '08 generation achieves more than the generation we have been stuck with I'll be well and truly pissed off

Ash is on over a mil. If it wasn't for a stupid offer from the tits he'd be here next year
Wallace they offered twice what we did from memory
Arrow went for opportunities, but they still paid more than what we were willing to
Keagen not sure
Copley they HOPEFULLY got a bargain on
Allan they'll need to pay overs for

Add in Peats, Carty, Gordon, Hurrell, Rein, Latu all on big money/ more than what they're worth, how can they keep signing blokes?

Rein and Gordon wouldn't be on big money ... they had no negotiating power as no one else wanted them ...

besides, all of those players salaries combined would be less than what Hayne was o

There’s an interesting short from Michael Westlake in the Courier today that Norths have been told not to be surprised if Thaiday ends up there.

Everyone's over the cap.

Good. I and a few others have said wouldn't be surprised to see him dropped or end his career in Q Cup. Needs to pull his finger out and fucking quick, otherwise he'll have all the time in the world to go on nova etc.

Told by who?

Wayne Bennett? Some drunk in the stands? FaithInHook?

Norths' Paix and Isaako both off contract and about to start talks.

FINALLY the Broncos have unearthed their version of Cooper Cronk.
Blindside can reveal 18-year-old halfback sensation Cory Paix is being groomed by the Broncos to be the club’s next big thing at the scrumbase.
Just like Storm young gun Brodie Croft, Paix has all the physical similarities to Cronk.
He represented the Queensland under-18s last year on his way to winning the player of the year award in the Mal Meninga Cup.
Articulate and mature, Paix is off-contract this season but will meet with Broncos coach Wayne Bennett on Monday to discuss a new deal.
The Broncos insist the classy Paix, Norths Devils’ under-18s captain, is going nowhere and believe he will be NRL-ready in 2020.

The Broncos are making moves to lock up young gun Jamayne Isaako. Ahead of tonight’s Queensland derby against the Cowboys, Blindside can reveal a two-year extension is looming for Isaako.
The Broncos view the flyer as a potential replacement for captain Darius Boyd at fullback when he retires.
Isaako is playing on the wing but he was impressive at fullback during the trials for the Broncos and could feature there during the draining State of Origin period.

Oh god, the next Cooper Cronk. I hate when the media tag these kids as the next big thing. He may well be but it is so unfair on them to be labeled as a "future ace" before they have played anything other than in their designated age group. But if he continues to impress, he may get his shot sooner rather than later.

He'll retire if he gets dropped to Qld Cup. Sam's ego is pretty big.

I know what you mean, can't they just say he is a promising player and leave it at that without the comparisons they make which create such an unrealistic expectation on them, especially for the fans who get themselves so hyped about it that when they don't come running straight out of the block they turn on these same players coming through, some players just need time to develop.

Cory Paix is the next Cory Paix, leave it at that.
