Michael Ennis can't have been well liked during his career and yet they played with him anyway. Players just need to learn to harden the **** up.
Ennis is a real nice bloke. Cockhead at times on the field, but thats what made him as good as he was. Good hookers have a bit of bastard in them. Off the field, genuine bloke.Michael Ennis can't have been well liked during his career and yet they played with him anyway. Players just need to learn to harden the **** up.
That would be a real jizz in a towel, so to speak.
I can’t understand why he felt he’d get more of a chance at Souths TBH. He’s got 4 first grade/rep fullbacks ahead of him there...
I was thinking about our situation this morning.None of them are the coach’s son. If he’s good enough (he is), he’ll get a chance.
If you just base it on his form this season I don't think i'd pick him over any other fullback in the comp. Except it seems a lot of coaches and media personalities seem to turn a blind eye on form and select on past performance... I hear Enron is a good up and coming stock. Is it too late to get on?I was thinking about our situation this morning.
Try to name one NRL team that Boyd would take the #1 jersey, let alone the captaincy.
You could argue a couple as fullback, but it’s not as cut and dry as it should be for a bloke who was the best fullback in Australia only a couple of years ago.
What a decline!
I was also hoping he does get picked for QLD (although he really shouldn’t), as it will force daddy to give someone else a crack back there.
Thoughts on Wayne chucking Hastings a lifeline? I know the kid seems to run a muck at whatever team he arrives at but, if Wayne still thinks he can turn people around then why not with Hastings?
The kid can play.
Surely he now knows that his next shot in the NRL is his last, so he might pull his head in if a club picks him up.
He can’t be any worse then what we are currently putting out in the 6 or 7 jersey. I’m sure he could also be an asset out of dummy half.
Manly would still be paying the majority of his contract and we could possibly have him for a year or so on bottom dollar..
Thoughts??
Could be simply sentiment based on previous years. It's only taken this year for people to start turning on Hayne and even then there's still some big names still backing him.He definitely isnt right at the moment but he’s a very good fullback, especially when it comes to defence and team structure.
On another note, almost every big name in league rates him highly.
Very respected coaches, players, ex players, and media personalities. Not to mention Wayne Bennett, the best coach in the game’s history. This tells me that he does things that most fans don’t have the perception or inside information to notice. I definitely must be missing something.
