Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2020

We didn't really develop him, he was 28 or 29 in 2006, and played for Wests (and Bulldogs?) before

Saddd face. What about Brett Seymour? Geez we really haven't had a halfback for years

Let's see a bit more than a few games before we declare him as the future immortal that we missed. He has looked good in his first few games playing with zero pressure because their season was already over when he debuted. Like countless other debutants that either disappear or plateau.

I think the most annoying thing in the NRL is the over-reactions to rookies and the "how did they miss him" rubbish.

What about the over reaction of this post, that's pretty annoying too, always good to have a post called rubbish.

Nobody even went close to saying he was a future immortal. It was simply an observation that other clubs had him in their system on the minimum so what are they seeing that our guys don't, and haven't, for a while.

He is a local kid so I am assuming our guys have assessed him and decided to look elsewhere.

Oh no, some random from the internet called my post rubbish, how will I go on?!?

I said that it was the most annoying thing in the NRL, referring to a sentiment in general not what his post or even this forum in isolation.

Riiighto.

Rothfield reckons we might sign DCE now, after we release Bird back to the Sharks

He's just pushing his agenda, nothing more. He'd love for us to pay half of Bird's salary so his beloved Sharks could get Bird back on a discount, and fully healthy.

**** that, I'd rather keep Bird out of spite.

THAT...THAT'S JUST...a really good win for us if it happens. (Yes I know most of you will disagree but that would absolutely give the Broncs what they need and help compensate for the guy in the 9 to an extent as well.

Make it happen Wayne!

Bird for DCE? I'd take that trade.

Only problem is it won't happen. Bird is going back to Sydney while staying on our books and the most disastrous big signing in the clubs history is topped off appropriately.

We win the comp with DCE, simple as that. That's the only way I can see us losing Bird as well, no chance we pay for him to play for another club without it gaining us someone like DCE.

No way DCE leaves Manly IMO. He was pretty much given the keys to the place. Even if they want to punt him, he can just sit on the sidelines and earn a million a year until he feels like retiring.

The only possibility this is even possible is if he realises that big bucks and control of the team means **** all if there’s not enough money around to pay for a competitive team around him. Can’t see that happening though.

Sounds like a 9.8 on my bullshitometer.

On 100 percent footy there is a rumour that a Queensland team is chasing Munster . They will reveal which club today. Any chance its Broncos
Some people commented that we get rid of bird and get him

Pretty sure it's the cowboys

we'll know it's bullshit if Badel runs with it in the next couple of days. Can't stand that fuckwit.

This rumour does mostly make sense though (even though it would be completely made up).

Bird leaving would free up enough Money to get him and the Broncs wouldn’t be stupid enough to take on DCE’s whole contract, Manly would have to subsidise or DCE would have to take a pay cut. He may be willing to do that to play in a premiership ready side like the Broncs are with him in it.

The only part of the rumour that wouldn’t happen and shows it is entirely made up is that Brisbane would not be stupid enough or willing to let Bird go back to the Sharks.

The Broncs would be idiots to have done all that work and then let Bird go back AND pay part of his salary. No club in the world would be stupid enough to do that. The Sharks deserve nothing out of this Bird mess.

But that's OUR feeling, not the clubs.
