The knights have put together a really good squad, and if they do a manage to sign Frizell then I think they’re squad isn’t that far off of ours for overall rating.
I think a lot of their squad has basically peaked outside of Ponga
Spine
1. Ponga
6. Apparently this Phoenix guy??? But is he just another Jaelen Feeney... alternatives Watson, Mann and Lino, all guys who can't nail down a spot.
7. Pearce... over 30 and on huge salary. How long can he last
9. Jayden Brailey - personally I like him... to me his service from DH is very good, but sharks never seem to use their hooker in attack so it's tough to get a gauge on his talent level. In saying that will he become a world beater at hooker
Klemmer solid workhorse, but isn't really a difference maker on his own like a Haas, Tapau, TPJ, AFB, etc.
Guerra (past it), Barnett (can't seem to lock down a spot), Saifiti bros (Daniel looks good, but Jacob not so much), Glasby (peaked), Fitzgibbon (I think he's overachieving with the talent that he's got), Herman (can't seem to lock down a spot), Sione (peaked).
Outside backs (??? Moga, Shiba, Hymel Hunt, Edrick Lee)... hardly any standouts amongst them. They had that Tex in the nines, but he looked a bit small to me from memory.... nd I believe they have that Bradman Best who is apparently very promising, but to me he looks to be a center only (ie. can't eventually transition to the spine and get his hands on the ball)... I haven't really seen much of him though
That's pretty much it for them... if they lost Ponga that's well and truly in the bottom 8
