Could be raining $100 notes and our mob would be looking for a raincoat.

Apparently Chris Garry have been told by the Broncos we do not have the cap space to go after AFB, how can that possibly be given we have Boyd, the money for Fifita and Kahu off contract??

It makes absolutely no sense unless they are finally trying to learn from past mistakes and not telling the media everything. Because if there is no cap space, someone has seriously messed up badly, BADLY!

Maybe the no money is being taken out of context by the media and they just don't want to spend the cap available on another prop? You have already got Haas, Lodge and TPJ (I know he can play 2R too but he seems to be more of a prop in my eyes) on fair contracts. Cap better used in other areas?

Edit: forgot Joffa if they can't move him on.

You could well be right but it seems Joffa has some suitors and I am sure Lodge would too if they were moved on. We should have Boyd and Fifita's money already available. This isn't just any prop, this is one of the best in the comp, our club should be going hard at this kind of player.

If the money is being kept for Smith on the other hand, our club has learned nothing from his entire career and will just get burned again.

Or the deal with Smith is already done or just about done.

Broncos need to be offering Manly their choice of Bird, Milford, Isucko and Lodge for AFB.

How do you convince a player to come to a club without a coach ?

who exactly from Brisbane is making a offer..??...

We havent announced our next coach, our next CEO...

This is media spin.....pure and simple....

Plus there would be a transfer fee to Manly as well....

Im pretty sure AFB has already got his next club lined up, otherwsie why announce this..?

Plus we have FAR bigger issues than chasing a young prop believe me...

Bird might be the only one of interest to them and even then I doubt they'd be interested in his wages.

Paseka is clearly earmarked as the AFB replacement. They just got Saab in for Garrick and have both Funa and Taufua so Isaako wouldn't appeal. I think with Cust and Schuster as options at 5/8 so definitely no Milf and they probably see Dylan Walker back in the centres next year with Parker/Suli.

Argh why can't the broncos just do one right thing! Why do the **** everything up. This is a no brainer. Surely we have the cash, he's been one of the best props in the last couple seasons. Just make an offer ffs

Sorry, turned what around? They’re still not very good and haven’t done anything except buy a star player. People thought they signing Taylor would change everything too but it didn’t. Praise them when they do something
So going from stone motherless last in the previous season to midtable with the same team, a team not chosen by the coach doesn't qualify as a 'turnaround'?

Not only have they done that and won more than twice as many games as the richest club in the NRL but have a happy squad, star signings enroute and a largely satisfied supporter base.

Truthfully, you wouldn't swap positions with them?

We still have no coach, will run last or second last, no star signings, unhappy( desperately unhappy) supporter base and a poor outlook. If the Titans don't qualify as having been turned around, what hope the Broncos?
