We could have signed him in 2009, in fact as far as I know he was interested in coming here but we turned him down. Probably because we had Folau and Hodges on our books and we liked the look of Beale, Copley & Gagai coming through. How times have changed.
Chambers is one of the better centres of the game but I just wonder how much of it is a luxury of playing outside of Slater, Cronk and Smith. I feel like he's good, but there are still inconsistencies in his game (his hands, some of his defensive options) that prevent me from being completely on board.
