Keep Hala, he is pretty much on minimum wage plus incentives. and you still need guys on those lower contracts

Hopefully Wayne comes in and sees what this squad is capable of before he starts getting rid of players and replacing them. With the addition of Milford I think our team is already poised to really challenge the top teams next season.

Ha! For some reason I forgot about them. Well, they are forgettable these days. We'll need to move someone along who's on at least $250 - $250k to afford Merrin (who I suspect will be asking $500k). Does anyone think Bennett can improve Hala?

Merrin is pretty much NSW's Parker, only obviously not quite as good. He's better than Boyd for sure. And we are hurting for middle third players more than backs.

Though I'd prefer to keep McGuire purely because I like seeing one club players and QLDers more, even thought he might never be as good as Merrin (if only because of his brain farts).

No way, when did they create that rule? Yes of course I am aware. I also feel as though a few players could be asking for releases by years end. Hoffman, Reed, Glenn, McGuire etc. could all either be shopped around or ask for releases.

Do you understand that if you release guys on contract you still have to pay most of the time half of their salary and it's on the cap still?

You can't release 5 or 6 guys to go play for someone else and take up cap space while they play for 6 other teams.
