Do you understand that if you release guys on contract you still have to pay most of the time half of their salary and it's on the cap still?

You can't release 5 or 6 guys to go play for someone else and take up cap space while they play for 6 other teams.

That's why you sack them instead of releasing them. I don't think you have to pay their wage if they are sacked.

Not a player but Terry Matterson won't be at North Queensland next year- He'll apply for the Knights' job, but if he misses out on the head role- a role at Brisbane under Bennett wouldn't be out of the question. He's done a very good job at the Raiders, USA and Cows and been a ISC CEO.

Walters pretty much confirmed this on the radio last Friday night, although I don't know if he intended to.

They asked him when Bennett comes back that if after 2 years he hasn't achieved the set KPI's will he be sacked, and he said öf course, and I'll be outsed with him" or something to that affect

Sharks seem a little unlikely given what they paid Fafita. Dogs missed out on Him so maybe they could be interested? Eels and Knights strike me as being the two most likely.

that same article says that the Broncos are working on a deal that will make him the highest paid prop in the Broncos History.

it also says he is happy here, has no problem playing under Bennett and wants to stay
