I did hear that Merrin and MacGregor don't get along. You'd think we would need to get rid of a few players to fit him in though

Apparently he was asked about the Broncos at the nines draw and did not deny it happening.
I did not see it so cannot comment on his reaction

have we got the cap room for him next year ... if that is the reason we are not offering Hannant a decent contract, I would be ok with that, he is a good player

That would be much better for us than using any cap space freed up by Hoffman leaving to sign Boyd.

Sure it would be light compared to $ouths and the Rorters, but fck me, with Barba and Milf snooping around for offloads we would be deadly. Just need to patch up our defence, cya later Kearney.

They're losing S. Burgess, so their pack isn't going to be as heavy as it is next year.

i definitely rate merrin. would be a great signing, though not buying into the rumour unless theres more solid info. great footwork at the line and great offload. tackles all day long too.

Rumour has been around for ages. Started with Nolan in Sydney looking for a middle forward and his name popped up - has only gained steam since Benny signed. A couple of people on LU seem very confident of it happening for 2016.

Chris Garry from the CM has also mentioned on his Twitter account and the way it reads on there is as definite for 2016 but a maybe for next year

Merrin is a gun and anyone who disagrees is an idiot. He would be a top player in any team and to have another version of Parker in the team after he retires would be great.
