It has to be 2 years if that figure is correct. The article mentions he would be the highest paid prop in Broncos history, and Kennedy is apparently on 400k..

Such big money for a bloke that hasn't played a single origin or test match for Australia..

I guess that's just the way it is these days.

yeah some context is needed given the growth of the salary cap ... I imagine if Glen Lazarus, Petro and pals were in their prime today they'd be commanding a lot.

Get him in a room with Bennett, Mr 'props aren't worth more than 300k' haha.

With the growth of the salary cap that could easily be a 400-500k statement now.
 
I'm really excited in seeing if Bennett can push McGuire even further in terms of performance. He's an amazing coach when it comes to props. Even in recent times, Weyman at the Dragons went far above any previous expectations, and Mason right now is what, like 35? Still going incredibly well.
