I just think that he has finally got the starting 7 jersey that he has craved for years, and isn't ready to give it up... he's probably sacraficing up to 200k a year to stay with us

Hunt stayed loyal which is fantastic to see and he is now reaping the benefits of staying loyal. He apparently got a huge offer from the sharks but knocked them back. Hopefully he can step up his game to another level next year with Bennett back at the club. If he can manage to close out tight games he can easily become an elite level half next year.

and of course you have to give Bennett all the credit even if it is undeserved.

If Hunt was going desperate to play under Bennett he would have left before his last contract, when he was playing bench hooker and there was no sign he would get the starting spot any time soon. he was also offered more money to play under Wayne at the Knights IIRC.

I doubt Bennett had much to do with Hunts decision ... more likely it was that Hunt just loves this club and wanted to stay

I'm guessing one reason Hunt is staying is the increased chances of playing rep footy while at the Broncos. Better chance of success which just equals more money.
