The most thing to come out if all the bullshit media shit storm is that Kevvie has a plan and he wants certain players to execute his plan.
Not just grabbing the"next big thing"
He has earmarked certain types of players to do the job he needs done, sounds very Melbourne storm
esque. Let's hope he can get those players.

I'm hoping that from Saturday, we start announcing some astute signings. Not necessarily the biggest and best but players in position of need who are good blokes AND fill a need, not just the biggest name available in a given position unless they fit the good bloke and LEADER descriptions.

Agreed. I read this enlightening feature article on NRL.com yesterday and I think our club can take some hints from the Eels who were in a similar position.
 
I'm sure someone else would have done the figures at some time or other but I just wanted to take a look for myself. Things are bad ?.. yes .. but I took a quick look in the rear-view mirror to cheer myself up and know that this WILL end.
Since our inception back in '88 we've won more Grand Finals than any other team with 6, The Roosters and the Storm are behind us with 4 each. We've been minor premiers on 4 occasions just behind the Roosters with 5 and we've been handed the spoon just once with the Bunnies and the Knights tying for the dubious honour of most spoons since '88 with 4 each.
So when people say we're the "laughing stock of the NRL" they need to ask themselves were they just as vindictive with all of the other fallen idols who eventually came good.

Watching the Wynnum V Capras game, have definitely got something with TC Robati and 'Milford'.

Robati is a huge dude. Very mobile with great defence and really good scramble, does a lot of the hard work in defence and does the 1%ers. Great in attack with big metres, great offloads very similar to TPJ in that he can do them at will. The final try of the game was to Kennar who caught a beautiful chip kick, from Robati. Multiple efforts per set in attack and defence. Is he a Queenslander?.

'Milford' is playing well above his age, very mature player. Does everything you want from a fullback, supports every play, strong defence and good positioning. He can only get bigger and better. Not comparing him to Latrell in anything other than size but he is a really big body at the back. Look forward to seeing him with a preseason or two under his belt and hopefully it is with us.

I see people saying Robati has re-signed so that's great, hope 'Milford' is doing the same.

Totally agree, Robati is very impressive. I am not sure the status of his re-signing and whether that has him on a top 30 contract this season but if he is, I could see him coming in this week. We have really good depth in the forwards with Robati, Hetherington and Piakura all in the background, plus one or two more.

As for 'Milford', you know he is going to get ridiculous offers, he looks very, very promising.

Yeah for some reason auto correct put 'Milford' to Milford, must have fucked up 'Milfords' spelling pretty bad.

I see an article from last year saying we had re-signed 'Milford', not sure the length.
