Haha wait, now Foordy has inside knowledge?! Where does everyone get their sources around here?
I could tell you, but my inside guy wouldn't like that...

My dad has a friend who works for the club and eats at the leagues club regularly.
I really can't be bothered finding the media reports where i read it ...
You mean from the two articles that has come out about it?
Im not talking about artickes that have come out about Kennedy leaving. But the have been around especiaaly with coaches culling players a bit recently (especially at the Eels)
So in the articles about the eels cutting players they mentioned that we gave Kennedy an unconditional release?
How can the Roosters get away with registering him on a minimum contract? Surely the salary cap auditor must think that's suspicious when multiple clubs were chasing him.
If we didn't give him an unconditional release then one of 2 things has happened
1. Kennedy has decided to give up his 400k a season deal to play for minimum wage (not likely, especially since it has been reported that we are paying him a large sum of .oney for the next 2 years)
Or
2. Bennett and the Broncos just decided he played do well in 2014, that he deserves.a top up to his salary for the next 2 years that we have to carry on our cap.
You can take you pick which fantasy you want to believe
Here's a hypothetical example. Let's look at a player named Duncan Biscuits who plays for Darwin. Duncan is contracted until the end of 2013 for $300,000 per season. At the end of May, Duncan would have been paid seven months or $175,000.
Therefore he is owed $425,000 (five months of 2012, plus 2013). Another club asks Darwin if Duncan can be released to play for them. The new club offers him $350,000 for the same period. For Duncan to move clubs, Darwin will have to pay Duncan the extra $75,000 he would have earned if he stayed. By doing so, Darwin has 'freed up' $300,000 to recruit another player for 2013. Darwin must also absorb the extra $75,000 they paid Duncan into their salary cap.

If this is true and we still had to stump up the difference between his contract with us and what the ****ing roosters paid him then that is ****ing bull****

Why? He signed a contract for that amount- he can't be out of pocket.
Whenever there was a thread saying let's release these 23 players, I said how expensive it is to release players.
