Broncos remain NRL's cleanest club

It seemingly relates to Gee, so it would be recent stuff. Something about a player being owed money for a 3rd party deal, but somehow the Broncos owe the money? So maybe the club has guaranteed a deal but not included it in the cap.

Is Gee being made a scapegoat?

Defamatory

Could this possibly lay a platform for Milford to do a backflip?

Guys, could the sky possibly be falling?

“The Brisbane Broncos have advised the NRL of some possible salary cap irregularities and asked us to look at them which we will do,” an NRL spokesman said.

that line there is strange so the broncos asked the nrl to investigate?

Pretty strange that the Broncos have informed the NRL, rather than the other way around, maybe Gee was up to something shady.

yea seems that way i dont think the broncos are gonna be in much trouble from the nrl by the way that article was read. seems broncos are concerned about somthing so have asked the nrl to look into it for them. if that is true my respect for paul white has gone up not alot of clubs or ceos would come out and ask nrl themselves to investigate this sort of stuff knowing the media and other teams fans will have a field day crusifying us before all the facts are out

So all I could gather from that article is looks like gee has fucked up a third party deal?

yea it might even mean were not even over the salary cap broncos just want to know exactlt what has happened and if it changes there current salary they have left so they know how much to offer future players

Thanks Gee, not only does he sit on his hands for ages, when we finally do sign players we pay overs AND end up with an investigation to deal with.

If this does turn out just to be some shit about third party payments or gee doing the wrong thing, badel really is a ****. The way he has worded it he knows that fans from other clubs will jump to all kinds of conclusions

It's already started mate. Fans from other clubs have been waiting for this day for years. Get ready for the comparisons to the Melbourne Storm.

Shouldn't really be anything to serious but Gee resigning shortly before this comes out is a sign that he was up to something

The NRL probe will involve the contracts of some of the biggest-name players in the NRL.

Recent dealings involving superstar recruit Ben Barba will be put under the microscope, although there is no suggestion the former Dally M winner is involved in any rorts.

News Corp understands the NRL probe will specifically examine third-party agreements and the fact at least one-big name player is out of pocket for a six-figure sum.

The player in question is allegedly owed money by the Broncos in relation to third-party sponsorships, but there is no suggestion Gee is guilty of orchestrating a salary-cap breach.
