Turpin was known to play too hard for his own good and become injured/suspended and Paix was a half being manufactured into a hooker who had yet to play first grade footy. It's less Captain Hindsight and just plain common sense with regards to hanging onto Macca. Plenty on the forum were okay with Macca as a backup, they just didn't think he should own the starting spot.

Ok I don’t want to be a downer so early in the season but let’s just hypothetically say the team doesn’t make the 8 right which is highly likely but if that’s the case you’d think we need a new 9,6 and 1
Hooker:
As time goes on I just think the likely hood of us getting Brandon is more unlikely... Starling comes to mind he is stuck behind Hodgson at the Raiders
Five-Eighth:
Milf could perform this year but I doubt it... I can’t see us getting anyone of huge note maybe Pearce but unlikely... Kurt Mann maybe and than I like the idea of Jackson Hastings he’s confident playing well but his personality seems to be a negative at this point
Fullback:
I like Hoy he’s young talented but at the same time consistent, Hynes and Drinkwater are other good options

Yeah true but you’d have to think McInnes is gonna sign a deal in the coming months whereas we will be negotiating with Brandon and the Storm at the seasons end

Seibs moving him on was one of the few things he actually did right - something fans & experts alike had been calling for for years, and the moment he goes, & turps goes down, it's captain hindsight "why would you get rid of McCullough?!"

The reasons for not wanting him now are the same for not wanting him then, hes a slow one-dimensional player that hinders everything we do with the ball.

I would hope Kevvie is not making some decsions just to be contrary to those made by Seibs, not everything he did was wrong.

Jahrome Hughes is a quality player. Would replace Milf with him any day. He only asking 700k (currently on 350 i think?), of which about about 100k of this year has already been paid to him.

Grant's a pipe dream. the Storm know how good he is and he will end up with a large portion of Smiths cash to ensure they don't lose him.

Hughes on the other hand is obtainable ... although i would prefer we chase him as a fullback instead of a half

I actually don't know what Griffin is thinking ... trying to lure Macca (who is on the wrong side of 30 and on decent money) when you haven't made an offer for your 26 year old captain, who plays the same position. not to mention that Macca isn't an upgrade on McInnes
