I think its funny that Staggs was signing with the Broncos within the next 7 days now over 30 days ago and yet no one in the media calls this kind of lie out, funny isn't it.

they wont do that, because the next time they make up a lie, they'll be called on it ... it will be a pandora's box

Is he playing 9 atm?

Yeah he is and he's been ok. He isn't banging down the door from what I've seen but he does seem to be making progress, though slowly.

Did he come through as a 9 or is that a hangover from siebold era?
The time playing in the middle didnt hurt ben hunts game really improved his defence(shame about his dick fingers)
Maybe put a deadline on deardon.

He came through as a half but because he is quick, the obsession was to turn him into a Cook. I can actually see the merit in it and happy for him to bide his time in Q Cup and gradually improve. I wouldn't be surprised to see him return to the first grade side late in the season if he continues to improve.

I'm probably going to get roasted here ... but I wouldn't mind having another crack at bringing Ash Taylor back to the club.

Like Milford, he won't get his million dollar contract renewed at close to that rate, however unlike Milford, he has showed some signs of getting his career back on track under Holbrook ... I'd love to see what Kevvie could do with him.

he has the skillset to be the halfback this side needs

If he came at 400k, yep.

I'd sign him before re-signing Milford.

Apparently they now have Reynolds, Dearden and Townsend all on their way north. The cows and the tits are basically being linked to half the players in the competition, currently contracted or not.
All whilst also maintaining drinkwater as their 6.

It is either media crap, player manager hijinks or other teams trying to drive other players salary up to stuff up the opposition's cap.

I guess the reality is tho if Deardon decides to go to the Cows, Stagg to the Titans, Reynold to the Sharks we might not be left with too many options to choose from.

I have a feeling that Kevie really wants Milford to come good so he can partner him with Staggs.

I'm pretty undecided on where ATay is at in his career.

We need a halfback and Fogarty is currently doing that for the titans, primarily because Taylor couldn't handle the pressure of it.

Since Taylor came back in 2019 Fogarty has been doing all the kicking and this year he is stepping up in the team's attack.

Atay just looks to be providing energy and chiming into backline movements, but he doesn't really look to be providing a threat with his running or passing... nowadays he can just shuffle the ball along to Fifita who's outside him.

That's not to say that he can't still be a halfback with an incredible kicking game, but if he's not doing it at the moment then we could be in a position where we are forcing a half to play outside his comfort zone again.... I feel like he will sign a reduced deal at the titans.

He'll be happy to play where he's feeling good about his footy... the issue will come if they sign him for $400-$500k, but then have to upgrade Fogarty to $600-$700k, Brimson to $800k-$1m, Tino to $700k and Mo Fotuaika to $700k

Yes. He needs to keep his form up though. I've always rated him as a highly capable footballer and getting him back works for me too. Money makes things complicated and if the Titans go on a run after their recent touchup and he plays well there'll be offers going round. Given that happens I think he's likely going to be 600k or more. Quality halfbacks in good form earn great money so we'd be heavily invested if we chased him.
