Can I just say, I'm not sad the club doesn't even compete for Niu. He might end up becoming something but he hasn't shown enough to get into a bidding war over.

If he goes, I wouldn't mind seeing the club bring in a Tass, Mariner or some cheap centre option from somewhere else.

Yeah, lol, we have about 7 players left in our squad but ‘don’t have the salary cap space for X, Y or Z’ 🤷‍♂️

almost as though our financial panther is hitting the + button instead of the - button for every player we clear from our books

My gut tells me he will be tapped on the shoulder before the season is over, but there is a part of me that really fears Walters will keep him around because he believes we don't have any other captain material.

That's how shortsighted Kev is. Glenn may as well NOT be captain. He does nothing to deserve the moniker. When we have a dispute with the referee, some other player approaches them to make their case. Glenn is off camera probably telling the players to the left and right of him some nothing comment and leaving the rest of the side to do their best with "one more set". And our handling of captains challenges is appalling. That might be a bit of a hint.

Footy gods willing, but we need to be careful how much pressure we put on Reynolds in his first season with us. I'd like to see him get comfortable and jiving with the side before he becomes the king of the whole place.

Haha what a load of BS... he's out the door next year and haven't they been saying he's not even involved in recruitment at the club.

Have you been reading the CM ... there's an article there where it basically says that Glenn hasn't been offered a contract yet and the club are "working through options for life after football" with him

The article also says that Capewell had been signed to play the backrow position "occupied by" Glenn

That's what the official position is ... doesn't mean Bennett hasn't been giving advice to JD on the q.t

Of course there is also a very good chance the media are full of shit
