Fingers crossed. [emoji1696]
When is he expected to return to the field? He looks out of shape and will take some time to get back to his best. Wonder if clubs will even gamble on him

TBF, he’s not long had a knee reconstruction - I’d be stoked if I was that out of shape without doing any cardio for a few months. When is he expected to return to the field? He looks out of shape and will take some time to get back to his best. Wonder if clubs will even gamble on him
How on Earth do we not have $300k?According to Dean Ritchie in the Telegraph, 300k is what he's currently asking even though he's currently on triple that in the UK. No one has the cash for him.

I think Drinkwater may be very gettable.
on NRL.com, Payten was talking about his plans for the Cowboys and he indicated that Val Holmes would be fullback and Morgan would be 5/8 (used as a running 5/8)
Particularly if freeing Drinkwater's money lets them sign Widdop. Payten has also said they had interest in Widdop but not the cash for him.I think Drinkwater may be very gettable.

Even in an "ordinary year", Drinkwater had 19 try assists and 6 of his own. I think that is comparable to or possibly even exceeds all our halves combined.Frankly I’d rather we signed Widdop (at 300k as has been reported) rather than drink water.
We know what we’ll be getting and it won’t be a long term commitment.
If the cows are looking to move drink water on so they can make a play for Widdop that says it all there.
Drinkwater had a fairly ordinary season last year I would be wary about signing him.

Nah not Ash, seen him at a coffee shop in Red Hill a few weeks back, he looks as poor as piss, maybe 75kg's wringing wet, mind you he might still have his motorAsh harrison too
The league world revolves around smith...**** him.....while most clubs are signing blokes we are signing ex broncos who were nothing special.....the storm cocking their leg on us yet againOn 7 news last night Kevie was quoted as saying that when Cam Smith makes his decision it will trigger a player merry go round and that the Broncos are looking to sign someone when it happens. I doubt that the Storm will lose Grant but maybe Brandon Smith is in play. Whoever it is it sounded like Kevie has a plan.
To be honest on a reasonable contract I’d be happy with any good fullback option. Wether that be Allen, Drinkwater, Widdop, or any other decent decision.Drinkwater is a good fullback. He has vision, a passing game and a kicking game. I think he struggled defensively in the halves, but I think he would be fine at fullback. He never shuts up either and has learned a lot about fullback play from Slater. If we can get the Cows to subsidise his wage to clear room for Widdop, I think he would be better value for money than Allan probably would. I think at the moment he is a better player than Allan.
