Api just consistently makes the correct play, his delivery out of dummy half is spot on everytime basically which has elevated the play of cleary and luai immensely, hes stout in defence and just doesnt make mistakes. Slightly confused with people saying he isnt elite, he definitely isnt just a pure tackle bot either, he creates plenty of half chances that cleary capitalises on, hes an essential cog in that panthers system and itll be interesting to see them adapt now

I dont think he is elite, but that doesnt mean he isnt a poor player either. He's a good hooker, but i dont think he is a great one. Be interesting to see how he goes compared to Harry Grant when he was at the Tigers because Grant was a standout in a really poor side.

In addition to good service, what api does really well is engage the markers interest to keeping them at the ruck and away from the ball runners he is passing to. Whether this is taking a couple steps out to engage them or look to be passing it one way, only to shift and throw it the other as the ball is played. It is that little bit of deception that benefits the team.

tigers have a really solid pack going forward, i think theyll elevate to another level with api, the rest of their spine however, thats another matter entirely

Ethan Bullemor has revealed the reason he cut and run from us, honestly, i'm not really sure what to make of it.

anyway, Bullemor says:

“For myself, I got to a point where I felt like I wanted to be succeeding more than I was,” he told The Daily Telegraph.

“I wanted to break out and try to better myself. I felt like sometimes a change is a good way to do that. I had a lot of success in previous examples where I have moved towns or schools or implemented a change in my life.

“It really makes you work a bit harder and can open up a new range of possibilities, expose you to new ways of doing things.

“I was lucky that Manly came about. It looked like a perfect fit to me. It is obviously a team that most people would love to be part of – they are flying pretty high and they seem to have lots of aspirations to go better than they did last year.

“That was a good sign in my mind.

“In all honesty, there was a fair bit of thought and consideration leading up to it but once I looked at it and really understood how I felt and what I thought was the right move, I have been really steadfast in it since then/.

“I haven’t looked back. It (Brisbane) is a club I grew up supporting and wanting to be part of. I was lucky enough to have been part of it.”

“(Manly) had a good season last year and they’re all really keen to improve on that.”

“The impression I have got from talking to some of the guys at the club is that they are not resting on their laurels. They are not happy or satisfied with a top-four finish.

“They are really talking about going that extra mile, winning the comp and playing in a grand final.

“As a football player, that is the stuff you dream of and that is what I want to do.”

Shut up, Ethan

I do find it interesting that it seems when ex-broncos end up at other clubs, they love to take jabs at the Broncos. I rarely see it when other players come here though. I haven’t heard Reynolds, Capewell, Jensen, Pereira etc talking smack about the club they just left in fact, a lot of the time they praise their time at the previous club.

It’s a lot of words to say “I think I deserved more game time”.

Maybe he did? I don’t think you can underestimate the upheaval the clubs been through the last few years and how that experience may have coloured some players opinion of the club. It’s definitely settled down now though.

I think it shows we've had a couple of things going on:

1. The club has been an absolute shambles
2. The players that have left have mostly been self-entitled and kids, so they don't have the same professionalism and maturity that a Reynolds, Capewell, Jensen, etc have, so they don't think before they speak as much

I think it speaks to how self-entitled a lot of this recent group that have come through are.
