Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2023

Any Ideas on Arey replacement? He ain't gunna last forever. 70% of games played this year, you'd imagine the same next couple years or even less.

Yeah they do hate Brookes and no tigers fans are sad to see Madden go
Wow this is a bad take. Basing a depth signing based on what the outgoing teams fans think, tigers fans no less. The fact that the Panthers also wanted him (and your comment on SOS is puzzling based on how well he played with Cleary out) and Ikin’s history of signings so far I will back his opinion.

There are murmurs that if the club lets Haas walk they would look at signing Angus Cricton with the freed up cash
How is that even possibly mathematically if they can't fit crichton now and haas would likely be commanding more?

can't believe people are whining about this , good pick up imo
It's not us collecting the fish John West rejected that people are whining about, it's what we're still missing. We just crashed out of the race with a spine made up of value depth players.

It’s the first week of the offseason for us and the competition is still going for half of the other teams. If people are whining because we haven’t made a marquee signing yet they are ridiculous and deserve to be referred as such.

Speaking of whining.

that's fair but as far as depth goes he's an upgrade , we've got walsh and I'm sure the club will be looking at upgrading our Hooker rotation the best they can.
think people need to realise that it's just not a matter of choosing who we want in certain positions.

couple of good touches from the young fella if nobody got to watch this game.

Slightly frustrating that they played like a top 8 team against us and then went back to wooden spoon level the week after. At least it gives us an idea of how Madden goes when he's in a good team.

Or maybe it was the Broncos who played like a spooner on the day because what followed for both teams during the final six weeks didn't even remotely resemble a top 8 side.

Madden is a good signing. He has a little bit about him. He will feature in the top grade more than most people think as ARey is running on empty career wise.

The Tigers were in a position where they had no choice but to have him as a depth half, they got Luke Brooks at basically 1 million dollars a season and then Adam Doueihi and Jackson Hastings fighting each other for that 6 jersey. I think he's a good player and the fact other teams were dipping their toes in the water only furthers my view

We were never replacing Gamble with anyone who would be considered as a genuine superstar but we did have to replace him, we needed a depth player in the halves

They lost Jackson Hastings
