Regarding salary cap rorting, that's what the Sharks did, they paid a grounds keeper that didn't exist. That money was then dispersed to players.

Agreed, his stocks/cost have increased the past couple years and is probably exceeding what we can afford/offer.
He is the right type of player, but unfortunately not the right price.

I disagree. He can be a good ball runner but still has errors. Raiders are not going to be at the top of the comp anytime soon. If we have the cap space, it shouldn't be a hard sell.
Luai at the tigers will be firming by the day. Richo is a hard man, but fair and correct. I remember meetings with him where every second word was brutal - but he knows how to operate a football club. Penrith want to keep Luai, Hosking could be the cap relief they need to counter Tigers. Hosking will want to secure his future and release before the year.
Its a prime position for a potentially smart play if he can refine his game. Raiders V Broncos is a no brainer, even with 100-150k salary difference. The weird double irony is that Penrith can double down and lose on both.
