I think you are safe because we dont have the cap space. Unless the Doggies subsidise like 80% of his salary and we lose a couple of players. Then you might not want to make that bet!

I heard Cows are interested but have balked at the asking price. No idea what that price is.

To clarify, I'd love a **** like him in the team...just not him.

Anyone suggesting that we should sign Mahoney, even on a reduced contract, should go and rewatch the first half of the Dogs game. Don't need to even rewatch the whole half, just when Mahoney's involved in defence.

Almost every single try we scored was directly as a result of a Mahoney missed tackle, ruck speed generated by running at him or the Dogs defence compensating to defend for him.

Ciraldo hooked up after 30 minutes in that first half. Absolute traffic cone in defence.

It would surprise me if Madge is thinking "How about we sign the guy that we specifically targetted and turned into a speed bump until his coach had to hook him off the field".

Badel / Read reporting to that Reynolds has rejected the Tigers offer to stay loyal to us.

They don't say what our offer us except that we wouldn't budge on a 12 month deal (they don't say if Reynolds asked for more than 12 months either)

If you're good at maths you may be able to figure out what the CM is implying our offer is because they said that the Tigers offered $1.5 million over 2 years and that Reynolds is giving up almost $1 million by staying loyal

So we've got him for a discount on his already discounted deal... nice

Never had any doubt that Reynolds would turn them down.

Like he said, he and his family absolutely love Brisbane. They're settled here and want to stay here for the rest of their lives.

He's not exactly strapped for cash. He's done very well for himself away from footy.

Apparently, we offered a 2 year extension to Karapani, what Code Sports reported. Not sure if he has accepted it.
In one game he did more than Cobbo has done all year. For that the price difference I’m all for it.

If the Fox News article is correct then Badel has really misrepresented how much Reynolds would sacrifice by rejecting the Tigers. That $1 million figure that Badel said Reynolds is sacrificing is the difference between the 2026 offers + the entire Tigers 2027 offer.

Fox Sports say that Reynolds contract with us would be for $500k but come with the condition that post-playing career opportunities are included in the agreement.

IMO that's about what i expected anyway and a fair offer for Reyno ...

Yeah Fox have been using total contract values for a while now... makes it sound far worse than it is for the rage bait and clicks
