Our recruitment is fucking terrible. Corey is shithouse. Was found out in origin last year and has barely been able to crack first grade since. He’s overweight, slow and literally a cry baby. Why would we want him

Corey just makes sense as a signing. His best footy is miles above 400k give or take a bit and his low isn’t really all that low. He covers middle and second row on the bench for us which we have been crying out for. He also brings aggression which we have been crying out for. Sure there are a few risks but in my opinion the risks are lower than hedging our bets on the likes of Hunt, Baker, Hetho and outside backs to fill that role again next year.

Hors would be a good signing, but for what he has produced for Canberra this year, including the shit he pulled in ressies, he's not worth much more than 300-350k a year, IMO.

Why set your sights so low?

You could come back as a maccas munching pretendy 5/8 and make well over triple that figure. All you need to do is learn how to kick a bomb. You don't even need to chase it.

Or if you're not keen on the thought of putting your body in harms way by (heaven forbid) tackling the opposition you could come back as a fullback and play kiddy reveals even after being roundly smashed by the opposition and again make more than double that paltry 300K.
