Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2026

I couldn't blame Haas if he goes, but I hope he stays. I'm baulking at $1.7M though if that figure is true, holy shitballs we cannot afford that and still keep a balanced squad. Get on KK for $900k and you're still $800k ahead...

I'm not sold on Tino either. Dude is good for an error or penalty or three in both attack and defence. I just don't feel comfortable with him holding the ball taking hitups, haven't for a while. Yeah he's got aggression and he's a good player but I don't rate him all that highly tbh. For the sort of money he would want, I'd much prefer a moneyball prop + second rower depth. Same probably goes for KK too, though I think I'd have him over Tino.

Willison is the Haas replacement if he goes. BTK hopefully coming through (though I'm concerned about his growing injury history). Haas' coin is a lot of $$ for upgrades to guys in the squad who probably deserve it.

Big decisions ahead for the club. I'm trusting them to make the right calls.

Isn't one of the Va'a brothers on the lookout at rorters?

I'd probably look to steal some of their young guys... rorters vulture from everyone else, but they've got some good young guys coming through... Steep, etc. there's only so much room at one team to keep them all.

Whyte is quality, but has just re-signed I think... but the young guys aren't getting past him anytime soon.

who the **** is kk

Meh, I've been resigned to losing Haas since the reported $3m figure first popped up.

If the whole thing crashes out, he'll end up playing rugby somewhere like France.

I don't care about Tino either, if we have the salary cap space then go all in on Willison instead. He's got more potential at prop than Tino does.
lets not overhype Willison, he does not deserve this hype

I think the samoa v nz game showed that forwards get you to big games, spines win them time and time and time again. 75% of haas (eg kk or tino + experienced or up and coming middle for the bench) and we would still be in a premiership window big time, particulalry with the money back in the cap we would be able to put somewhere else.

He is a very good young prospect - can play 80 minutes if necessary, can play prop or 2nd row, he is shaping to be an absolute gun. Not sure why you don't seem to rate him?
I like him, but the thing i responded to said he has more potential at prop than tino, thats wishful thinking cause we havent seen anything from willison to show that. Tino was worlds better than willison at Willisons age

Willison had 2 great games and then played like dog shit against the titans, then he had some underwhelming performances and then broke his arm. Yeah theres potential but we need to calm down calling him the next payne haas

I think the comment was more that Willison might have room to be better than current version Tino i.e. thinking that TIno has potentially hit his peak and might be moving to the other side.

The comments are in regards to whether you go all out to recruit Tino as a replacement for Haas or invest your time and cap space in Xavier.

I'm not sure if he has or not, but he did look a bit down this year... he was coming off an ACL injury and titans have been running him into the ground with long minutes for several years now though... he's also been playing basically every rep game he's eligible for.

Tino is only 25, but it's similar to Payne and Patty playing too many minutes for too many years and the potential that it affects their longevity in the game.

I'd say Tino is still elite... not sure if he's worth the price tags he's currently getting though... I'd also not want to pay Tino the same money we are planning to pay Haas. Haas is a better player, but Tino is currently getting paid more than him.

no it wasnt, it says he has more potential, not he might have.
Im just saying lets not get too far ahead of ourselves since Willison hasnt proven much yet :)
