Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2026

Are you sure it’s Saudi backed? Recent reporting suggests it isn’t and that narrative was just out there by lazy journalists. Also they will have to live in Dubai or similar for half a year or something like that to get it tax free which is what brings it up to insane money.

Despite other reports, and we dont know who all the investors are yet, to get it off the ground like they will want the Saudi's to be involved somewhere. Even if its not the PIF it will have significant Saudi investment. They want the 2025 Rugby world cup over there alongside Dubai and Qatar so the logical step is to gain interest with this R360.

If i was a player right now, i'd want to know who is actually backing and running the whole operation before i committed.

Innes not even in the top 10 has gotta be a good sign

He made the honourable mentions list .

Outside of the 'Top Ten', the Broncos have plenty of great young players who are slowly progressing through the ranks.

Some back-line players to watch include Saxon Innes, Seth Gundry and recently NRL Schoolboy Cup winner Siosaia Poese.

I thought Braithen had another year of school? @1910

Other than the obvious Black and Bukowski. Francis, Horne, Verhoeven and Scott are the ones to really like in that list.

IMO there is nothing to get your panties excited about Phillip Coates, Jett Bryce or Michael Waqa all seem like the type of player to enter a system and fall out of it.

Jury is out a bit on Va’A as well imo, at least as a Bronco.

I can.. 1 post? Given his track record he'd be posting about 300 times a day if we lost hahahaha... fair enough if it was HIS TEAM's forum, but if you want to post that much hoping/after a loss of an opposition forum when your team is SO SHIT, than you go into hiding when they lose hahahaha... stick to the north and try to raise the iq on that forum rather than drop it on this one.
Totally agree. **** that little troll

If I was going to sign with R360 I'd be looking for my first year's salary to be paid in full in advance.

Obviously the only reason anyone would sign is for the crazy $$$ and unless I got it in full on day 1 I'd have no confidence I would get it all.

Depending on their backers, i dont think them getting paid should be an issue tbh, but you really would need to do your homework to give yourself peace of mind. At the moment it all seems a bit sketchy because there are very few concrete details so far to encourage people to sign up. I certainly wouldnt with the details we have so far.

Who is the Obelix and Asterix fella from the Dolphins? Is he any good?
Article in Fox Sports today about your new signing, Aublix Tawha:

"I was living a normal life, just scaffolding back in New Zealand and never really had any thought of playing in the NRL,” Tawha said. “I never thought I’d be here in a million years.

“I was just watching these players on TV, and now to be playing with them is crazy.”

Tawha is excited to develop his game under Michael Maguire and become a better player at the Broncos. “Madge invited me to his house and talked to me about what he wants to do with me, it all just made sense to jump on board,” Tawha said.

“I’m really excited, I’ve been back to see my family in New Zealand and I’m ready to come back to Australia and have a crack. “I just want to come in and do my best, help out where I can and improve my game by being around some high calibre players.”

Broncos’ General Manager of Recruitment & Pathways, Simon Scanlan is excited to have Tawha on board.

“Aublix had a breakout season in the NRL this year, establishing himself as a regular first grader,” Scanlan said. “We see him as a valuable addition to our squad, bringing a strong work ethic, aggression and versatility. His rise to the top level is a testament to his hunger and competitiveness, and we’re excited to welcome him into our pre-season preparations as we build toward another big year ahead.”

Seems pretty versatile based on his stats. Don't know how good he actually is though, seems like a late bloomer. Hopefully another value buy like Jensen and Talty?

if he has a work ethic, as reported - we’ve already seen what Madge can get out of a player who’s willing to put in.

The bonus is that he’s cranky as, which is an attribute we’ve sorely missed. Good pick up

Madge so angry that the club let Spencer alpha us that we went out and signed the first player we saw stand up to him

Aublix played under Te’o at Redcliffe as well. Obviously has a high opinion of him for the club to sign him. If we can get him and Jamal in we have done well considering the dearth out there. Headgear Riki and Piakura have come good so after a decent season from Hunt and Gos with 2 second rowers with NRL experience and potential joining the club as much as it could be stronger we have been in worse the past 2 seasons.
