Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2026

Just need a couple of old heads that are there waiting that will come on and do there job . Piakura is injury prone, talty semu still learning . Yeagh we have youngsters that may get there in a few yrs , but gee it would be nice to not rely on q cup players to fill the void ….

Players off contract who we should be looking at to fill squad depth:
Papalii
Smithies
Suluka-Fifita
Rudolf
Jolliffe
Blore
Capewell (ironic ha)
Lahrs (I really hope we are pursuing him but as suspected, that news from earlier in the year seems fake)
Guler
Mavrik Geyer

We need to target some of those young Warrior forwards. They are ****ing brutal. Surely they can't keep them all and I'd imagine there would be a fair production line of them in the pathways as well. Feel like some of the young guys we have coming through just don't have it.

Lance Armstrong, Marion Jones, Brock lesnar... far more eyes on them over a far longer period...... people dont just go and dob people in when they are involved themselves. Look at Brock lesnar, who the fuvk thinks he wasnt on roads? Lol.

Also, peptides. Look it up. Seriously, stop just calling everyone paranoid and have a decent argument. They aren't doing a lance Armstrong but they've certainly been extremely lucky with their injuries, and they have been extremely ahead of everyone in fitness for 6 years (unheard of in modern day sport, talent no, fitness yes as everyone has access to the same sports medicine... except lance Armstrong of course).

Lance Armstrong ?
How many on a bike racing team ?
He was able to hide it for how long ?
What threats were made to his team mates for revealing the truth ?

EPO and roids stop injuries ?
The drug testers just can`t catch the cheaters ?

Who do they get the drugs from when they change clubs ?
Who monitors their health while they are on the programme . Does that person just work for Penrith or do they continue to support the ex players when they go to another club / retire ?

Many , many UFC fighters including world champs have been busted for PEDs .
Marion Jones went to jail .

Possible , but highly improbable . And makes you sound like sore losers IMO.

I'm not on the PEDs thing for the record but you have raised an interesting discussion point nonetheless. Panthers who have improved after leaving / have not:

Staines - not improved, regressed, in ESL
Iongi - improved, fantastic young player
Crichton - already good, seems to have trended down though if anything
Burton - massively regressed
Geyer - not better, not worse
Capewell - already good, not improved or regressed
Kikau - not improved or regressed
Salmon - regressed
Koraisau - regressed
Fisher-Harris - no change
Egan - massively improved
May - in ESL, hard to know
May - regressed
Luai - regressed but wasn't good anyway
Naden - regressed
Leniu - massively regressed
Laurie - regressed
Moirovski - regressed
Hopgood - injured often, hard to know
O'Sullivan - regressed
Luke - hard to know
Turuva - regressed
Jenkins - massively regressed, returned and massively improved
Hosking - massively regressed
Cogger - massively regressed

Yep someone anyone 🤷🏼

Yes players are choosing to use them, and i know this from one of the labs. There are not too many compounding labs/pharmacies on our shores. The chance of detection is low and worth the risk.

Absolutely. Unless we had strict whereabouts regulations like the ITF and FINA (tennis and swimming) many will load up.

It's seriously easy to detect which fellas have had a crack.

You talk some absolute dribble.

Took you over a week to come up with that? Lol

These are PEAK performance teams. The nrl teams just went over to America to use the ufc gym lol. These athletes are worth millions and millions more than nrl players. They arent getting tested? And look up peptides. Not steroids, not epo. You literally do not know what you are talking about lol

Been looking at the Warriors pathways and they have way to many good young players they surely won't be able to hold onto. Not sure how they will fit most these guys under their salary cap into the future. We should steal 2 or three of them off them. There isn't a way to fit them all into their NRL team going forward unless they take unders. I know the Panthers already took 3 or 4 of them for this season and Warriors didn't put up a fight - Freddie Lussick, Kalani Going, Patrick Moimoi and Toby Crosby. Why don't we do the same thing? Even South's pinched Ed Kosi and Moala Graham-Taufa off them too. They have a great program bringing new talent through - they have played five 17 year olds in NSW cup this year.

We have Preston Riki and Perham who were rejects of the Warriors in our game day squad already. They wouldn't even make their current NSW cup side!

We should make an offer or least get the feelers out to any of Jacob Laban, Eddie Ieremia-Toeava, Kayliss Fatialofa (Leka Halasima clone but faster), Morgan Gannon, Jason Salalio, Rodney Tuipolotu-Vea, Tepatasi Laumalili, Gordon Afoa. Any of thsoe guys would beef our pack up into 2027/28/29

Id throw the bank at Bishop Neal. He is only 17 years old now, wrecking grown men in reserves and will be a household name soon. He is a mix of SBW and Jonah Lomu. Offer him a monster deal 5+ years. Take a risk and offer him $400k - 600k a season now. He will be worth $1m a season in the future. Why not offer him more now and get a bargin into the future?

His name isnt Jetski. You've sold me.

Jokes aside. Our club definitely needs to get ahead of this depth issue we have currently. Not just the back row. But what is the point of having 6 hookers on the books if none of them are currently good enough.

As sad as it is to say, Mariner is now 100% a wait-and-see proposition before throwing any sizeable contract at him, and that goes for any club willing to look at him.

The injury could take a while to fully recover from and get back to the level he was at.
You thinking JYY vibes?!

You thinking JYY vibes?!

Hopefully not that bad, but it all depends on how well the injury heals, how long that takes, and what effect that has on his fitness, even if it heals 100% properly. He might also not be confident in it right away.

I don’t think we see him until next season, and even then who knows in what capacity. Mind you I’m not a doctor, but just from reading a little about acute compartment syndrome, it’s usually something that stems from a bad bone break or crush injury, and can have muscle and nerve damage. Thankfully in Deine’s case they acted quickly, but you never know until you know.

Great points mate. That kid is the kind of guy who would do a world of greatness in the most position we severely lack potential in. Not sure how but someone should send these names to Scanslan asap before they extend any of the contracts.

Bishop is extended until 2028 unfortunately. I think Laban and most of the rest are until 2029. At some point they have absolutely no hope at keeping them all.
