I’m slowly getting there myself…..
Be it our stupidity/Vlando’s footy/relentless screwing us by the ref’s & of course our injury toll, I’ve been very furious since the Rotters game and it started to impact my mental peace so, limiting my viewing.
Against Dragqueens, I switched off and didn’t watch the game when we let them score twice within 9min. No energy or commitment whatsoever from us especially, on the back of a bye ffs.
Against Tits, I switched off after Sami’s try as I sensed that they’ve well and truly turned up to play their GF and will get us in the 2nd half and sure they did.
Against Souths, we had the early ball and repeated sets at their end and we were completely clueless in attack and no one knew what to do. Switched off after they scored back-to-back tries quickly.
On a different note, it would’ve been a completely different scenario had we put down our heads, played as a team with commitment & absolutely no brain snaps to get the wins over Parra, Cowgirls, Rotters, Dragqueens, & Tits. That’s 10 points right there and we could’ve been sitting within top 4 now.

How do our R&R not see it with him? A dude who can play well anywhere…if only they hold have known the stock he came from…how could they have known his pedigree…oh wait.
I put I up there with Walker, maybe worse because Plath was at the club and clearly ready to play first grade.

We were one of the worst defensive teams of any premiers in the NRL era.
We conceded over 64 points in the finals series, that was three games. Even in the run home to the finals, we weren't that good defensively.
How is that winning it because of our defence? We won because we could outscore our opponents and because Reece caught fire and was literally unstoppable.

Watching the Dolphins players last night, most of whom have come from us, and then thinking they have Herbie and Katoa in addition to that and a pipeline of juniors coming through, I’m wondering if they might have already gone past us in terms of how their future looks.
We won the comp and I’ll forever be happy for that but our future looks kind of dire with Haas, our forward pack, going.
I wanna get Cobbo back, looks like he’s learned his lesson. I wanna gets Flegs back. And man what I’d give to rewind the Plath debacle.

I'm not forming an opinion on Cobbo until post-Origin. He looks good every year up to this point, it's the back end where he seems to get tired/lose interest and he drops off.

Ok first thing we need to do is sack our premiership winning coach, because he'll train Cobbo too hard
Second thing we'll need is pay him somewhere between $700k and $1 million, which will at best give us half a season of decent games.
I've watched a few Phins games this year and in reality not much has changed. You get periods of brilliance followed by periods of laziness, often in the same game. Exactly the same as he was for us.

Well as I say all the time, I don’t watch the NRL so all this about Cobbo might be true, I have no idea. All I know is he was making me cry last night seeing him pitch it all together.
Makes me think of Gagai, you put up with them for so long and then they finally come good after they leave. It’s the rocket they need but just sucks to see someone else benefit.

This is what puzzles me the most. Why can’t we ever be ‘the team’ in the comp where opponents find it hard to score against us in a season?
Do any of our players are resilient in stopping opponents scoring against us?
Are our defensive structures & the D coach always have been shit & we refuse to rectify it?
Our recruitment & identifying talent that suits the ever changing rules has been appalling.
How are Riff, Wahs & Manly this year able to do but not us? We’re the defending premiers ffs and this stuff is not new. They just are not standing up for each other.
For us, it’s just high talk on focusing on D & not much to show on the field. Just bullshitting each other as Payne said.
I simply pray that they find a strong D coach before the seasons end and whoever that is all pumped up come preseason.

Any player would be pretty dumb not to be financially driven when one injury can ruin their pro career and they have 10-15 years to maximise their earnings.
