I don't know why. Not saying they're not wrong, just not sure what they ask think he brings?

No decent highlights or footage out there.. how does he change the team's dynamic and help forge a win

Issue I've seen from this club is regardless what kind of player they come in as, they end up becoming a whiner and injury prone.

Now that Boyd is gone I expect the culture to improve ... But... We'll see

Firstly he’s presumed to be on a small contract and it’s for 1 year, so it’s not that I think he’ll turn our club around but he’s great value for that sort of contract.
If the benchmark for a good signing is someone who will vastly improve our win % then John isn’t worth getting excited by.

He’s experienced, he is versatile, very creative and skilful for his size. But what I personally like the most is anything I’ve seen of him off the field indicates that he has a great attitude and is a really good bloke. Which translates to improving our team culture. He won cowboys players player for his off field attitude and his acceptance speech is available online - he spends the whole time shifting the praise to his parents and team mates.

That being said, he will bring a lot of attacking flair to our forward pack - especially if you compare him to Offa. He and TPJ on the field at the same time and firing will be a nightmare for defence

I think he could be a good acquisition for us and offer us a different attacking dimension that we have not really had before.

Even though our recent signings may not be world beaters on the field, the character of the recent additions do appear to support kevie's drive for a positive cultural change within the playing group and club.

I think even having macca coming back will be positive for the squad. Although he is not the best player, he exhibits professionalism, team first attitude and supports younger players.

I am not expecting huge things this year but as long as the team looks like they give a shit, show some progress/development through the year and resilience to adversity and are meeting those "effort areas", it will be an improvement.
 
Asiata is a decent enough player, but not really what Brisbane need. We need edge forwards more than a lock, especially after Kevvie said he wants TPJ at 13.
 
Cowboys clubman Of The Year in 2016 and 2020.
Integral part of the playmaking stocks when Thurston got injured in the 2017 season where they made the GF from 8th.
Been battling pectoral and knee issues over the years but a classy player in his own right.
Best years are yet to come and the most important thing is the one year deal where he is backing himself too.

He has played on the edge plenty of times.

He's really in a category of his own as Middle Forwards go. In a squad full of big minute, bash and barge style Middle Forwards he's a genuinely creative ball playing Lock and there are hardly any of those in the competition, let alone already in our squad. I think he's got plenty to offer especially with a Broncos spine with so many question marks over it at this stage.
