can't agree on this . Why should tpas be capped, they are external to club contracts. Why should a player be limited in what he can earn outside of the game. Seriously, I don't buy into the tpa argument, if you are a player with profile, you will probably get tpas wherever you play. Do you think if Thurston played in Canberra, he would suddenly no longer be of interest to all of his existing sponsors etc. And I definitely don't get how everyone thinks they have a right to know the private earnings of sports stars, unlike politicians its not public money being pissed away by fat cats in a trough, they are private citizens earning a living and have a right to have their private lives kept out of public scrutiny, not to mention the potential team disharmony that would be created when everyone knows what team mates are earning.
