Broncos V St Dell Dragons *spoilers*

That Hoffman can play! I hope he gets another go very soon

Eastwood, Parker were both great aswell

Robinson needs to be dropped, hes getting found out big time his positioning in defence is crapola and apart from his straight line speed he has got no footwork whatsoever.

Well the scoreline was probably justified. We were competitive but never really threatened to win that game. Good efforts from Ennis, Parker & Hoffman. Sims is really slumping. I think a stint in the Qld Cup is in order. Clinton not far off either. I wrote this game off weeks ago. We were never a chance.

Defensively, especially on the fringes, so so so so poor. The number of times the Dragons bent the line and got offloads away. There's just no intensity in the defence of the Broncos at the moment.

Dam nice try in the Warriors game.

Take this as a warning Mr Tee, back on topic please [eusa_naugh [eusa_naugh

Can't really be bothered commenting much except to say great effort by Hoffman (yes Matt you told us icon_thumbs_u ), Robinson bloody hopeless, Hoffman to his wing but I'm afraid WB won't do it. Thought Moon looked dangerous when he got the ball tonight and would have liked to see him at #6, Beastwood started well till he ran out of steam, like big DT (lay off the **** DT and the KFC Beasty and get fit the pair of you).

Other than that, nothing else to say except SOO ruins clubs mid-season once again. Disappointed for Dell that things worked out the way they did, felt sorry for him. Does anyone reckon Stagg might have something to answer to for his forearm (careless maybe) eusa_think eusa_think

Oh we already referred to sucking and CUMmins in this thread too :P

Yeah should been here when Hitman did a nudie run at half time.

Not really, nothing too answer for there, because there is no careless or reckless charge in the striking rule only intentional.

I'm back...so he's my two cents...

Obviously, I was very disappointed with the game. The Broncos looked dangerous for about 20 minutes in the second half, and the rest was poor. I think there were a few strong performances from Hoffman, Eastwood, Clinton and Parker. I think we lost too many meters because players trying to tackle the ball runner up high. Around the legs is the way to go, they can't run without legs. At the same time, I think in 2-on-1 or more tackles, we really need to start wrapping up the ball, we lost a lot of ground to second man play. I found it very frustrating. One more note, what was wrong with the right hand of the field? It's almost as if there was some kind of toxic gas, and no one dared venture there.

Player by player
1. Hoffman - had a really strong game and lived up to my expectations. Definatly a player of the future!
2. Kemp - Didn't see much ball. Was solid without anything special
3. Moon - I was expecting more creativity from him, but he was solid and helped out from dummy half.
4. Emmett - I've got plenty of time for Emmett. Strong defensive performance, and i'm disappointed he didn't get more ball in attack.
5. Robinson - Absolute shocker! Got caught out in defence numerous time. Send him back to QLD cup for a few weeks.
6. Stagg - GET HIM OUT OF 5/8 RIGHT NOW!!! Once we spread the ball to Stagg, that's as far as it went.
9. Ennis - Tried way too hard! If he keeps playing like this, the Dog's can have him.
8. Taylor - Wanted more game time from him. Had a few damaging runs.
7. Marsh - Loved the shot on Poore. Poor by his standards, was way too quiet for my liking.
10. Clinton - Made a few errors, but definatly lead from the front. Numbers speak for themself.
11. Parker - Close to Broncos best. Had a strong running game, but I wish he would stay away from that sideline.
12. Sims - Ordinary game. Highlight was Sailor's first run when he knocked himself out.
13. Carroll - Typical Carroll performance. Strong, but not flashy.

14. Eastwood - Really impressed me tonight with a strong all around performance. Made me eat my words.
16. Ah Mau - I thought he had a strong game while he was on. Solid in defence and some strong runs.
17. Perry - I thought he added a little flair when he came on. Inside ball to Taylor would be been a try if he had of held onto it.
18. Watkins - A very 'QLD cup' performance. Just what I expected from Watkins. Solid

I thought Kemp did well, he made a couple of great dummy half runs.

ATTN: THIN CONTROLLER (aka Wayne Bennett)

Michael Ennis: not a halfback's boiler
David Stagg: not a five-eighth's caboose
Joel Moon: quality useful engine being wasted on a branchline
Ashton Sims: Percy could flog the bitch
Shane Perry: I can't even think of a train analogy bad enough to describe him
Reece Robinson: may the Sodor Suspension bridge collapse while you're on it and disappear in the ravine and come back as a ghost engine. You are a waste of space.

Posistives were Hoffman with a good debut, and Eastwood finally giving us a glimpse at what he's capable off. I agree with whats been said about robinson, he just seems so lacksidasical and theres no urgency from him when its needed. And stagg needs t be in the back row or maybe centres, no where else.

I thought Parker, Eastwood and Clinton were our best. One of the best games big Greg has had for a long time, i think he relished a bit of extra responsibility. Would love to see him on the fringes with a bit more space and time, think he looks very dangerous there.

Stagg had a terrible game in attack, but can't blame him. We had a few better options at 6 but WB doesnt want to use them. Thought he was very good defensively though.

Dave Taylor is out of sorts something fierce, unfit, lazy and is struggling for timing. I hope he doesnt put his talent to waste.

His Drop-out kick was pretty good!

wish old man Bennett would stop picking players like Stagg at 5/8 or Perry at half... I won't miss that next year
