I don't mine the side at all. Simms and setu not being there will just make them alot more keen to work harder to get back in. Once they do look out.

I agree, though I think Sims did deserve a bench spot for the game.

Not bagging you specifically, but to everyone who has opinions on who "deserves" to be there more (me included), it's pretty funny unless you've watched a lot of training sessions and all their trial games, monitored their fitness levels, injuries etc...
It's round 1. We have precious little to base who deserves spots more...and last year's form is meaningless IMHO, given the last game of 2009 was just under 6 months ago (and let's not consider what happened in the Broncos' last game!!!).

Mister Wright said:I don't know why so many people put faith in the side selected on Tuesdays. How often do we see number 19, 20, even 22 run out for the side? (It's a shame we don't see number 46 or 52 anymore!) Wouldn't be surprised if both Sims & Setu come into the side.

mick said:Surprised and very pleased with the side named tbh. I've spoken heaps about how little I'm expecting from this season so I think it's bloody marvellous that we're giving the younger ones a red-hot go. Honestly feeling pretty excited about our chances now.
For those lamenting our lack of aggression or size in the forward pack, I really think you need to step back a little. Yes, the Cowboys have big forwards and you recognise their names more than those listed in our pack. But the likes of Webb, Mason, Manuokaoforuauaoa(sp? haha) and the rest have been farking woeful in recent seasons. Big Michelin men, the lot of 'em. Our baby faced assassins will murder them. Bring it!
