Broncos Vs. Eels - Build Up Thread

Pumped for this game, I think it will be a lot closer than people think. Gillet/Norman sharing 5/8 might be a good idea, who knows what will happen until they run out.

Hahaha, just because people overrate him, doesn't make it his fault, but for some reason it still gets me angry.
My hatred for him has nothing to do with how overrated he is. Even so, I still think it's partly his fault, when he comes out with comments like he did the other week saying how he can save the eels season or whatever dribble it was, he is clearly buying in to how good people think he is.
What annoys me the most is when the dickhead does that post-try celebration piece of shit which doesn't deserve a name. I think it was against the Panthers they were down by 20 or something and he scores an average try and does that arms in the air bullshit! Seriously GTF over yourself!

Please Te'o, even if you do nothing but belt Hayne all night or at least one tackle to absolutely crush him, you will get my MOM! icon_smile

I can't believe he said he thinks he can save their season. Hahaha, has a fullback ever carried a team?

I will be so devastated if we lose this one. My hate for Hayne is pretty high at the moment and I couldn't stand him winning against us. How bad would it be if he has a blinder and just ruins our defense and gets several tries. I hope Norman and Wallace are up for this.
At the moment?!?!?! My hate for him is at the same, incredibly high level day in day out!

hate a big word.. I am not a hayne fan i hope we smash them

Daniel Anderson is, IMO, the worst coach in the comp. Idiot. The team makes the Grand Final last year not only because of Hayne's purple patch, but because Daniel Mortimer was carving other teams up with his performances at five-eighth. He scored a lot of tries himself and set up even more. As much as I hate the Eels, I loved watching him.
So what did Anderson do this season? Play Mortimer out of position at halfback, force him into a role which isn't natural or comfortable for him, and instead of rectifying the decision and moving him back to 6, just dropping him altogether to shift the blame onto the young'un and deny that he himself made an error in the selection.
Oh, that's right, they don't need Mortimer firing and scoring all those points, because they have the Hayne Plane instead. How is that working out for you?

dude Mortimer was playing out of position at 6.. He has always been a 7.

I really don't see that though. His entire first-grade career was at 6; and he excelled there. I'm a subscriber to "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." He more or less saved the Eels' season playing at pivot, and should've been given another chance there this season when the halfback role didn't work out.
There seems to be a real trend amongst NRL teams of taking good five-eighths and turning them into okay halfbacks. Understandable when Brisbane did it with Wallace, because we needed a half and none were available, but why do Parramatta bother when Robson did a solid if unspectacular job last season? Because the general consensus is that you need your halfback to be a superstar, and bugger the rest of them. Mortimer is a star, ergo he should be a halfback.
I have very little faith in Daniel Anderson.

Getting ready to jump a train with several parra supporters in tow. Its gonna be a long trip home for them after we smash dem eels icon_thumbs_u
